Sen. John McCain is blocking the confirmation of President Barack Obamas nominee to be Americas second-highest ranked diplomat.
McCain says Tony Blinken, Obamas deputy national security adviser, is totally unqualified to serve as Secretary of State John Kerrys understudy.

Backbone ?
Most of 0’s picks are unqualified or far-out wacko leftists.
You have to believe that if he is only good enough to be a “DEPUTY” to political hack NSA Chief Susan Rice he is nothing more than an Obama “Lap Dog”.
Backbone ?
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$?
Malaysia newspaper?
and because of that fact will be loyal to Obama alone; not the Constitution.
In the kings court what does qualification have to do with anything.
He’s at least as qualified as the soap opera babe who just became our Ambassador to Hungary.
(sorry about that, Hungary!)
For once, I congratulate McCain.
But, really, is Lurch qualified to be Sec of State?
The man is a lying, blithering idiot.
Ugly too.
Hey Blinken...meet Juan McLame. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJcuYKyHEgs
He has said that he plans to run for reelection in two years.
He has to start pumping up his “bonivides”!!!!
Kerry is completely unqualified to have an understudy. McCain didn’t whine about that, because McCain is loyal to the Senate institution and its members.
obama himself is unqualified and we have all seen the results of his work.
Not backbone. This position is low on the totem pole, like blocking a commission in the armed services. McCain’s only purpose is to burnish his “maverick” image.
Harmless paper tigering IMO. Watch what this insane fool does with Obama’s Attorney General Nomination to see.
If John Kerry is a good Secretary of State, why would his previous Deputy have quit and put Mr. Kerry in the embarrassing position of having to grovel before Republicans like John McCain in order to get his replacement confirmed?
And if John Kerry is a good Secretary of State, why did he choose to nominate such a feeble new Deputy who will bring even more embarrassment to him and the State Department?
As the Ranking Member and soon-to-be Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, John McCain knows as well as anyone who John Kerry’s nominee is and why he’s not qualified, and he’s sure to elaborate on that to the Senate and the world during the nominee’s confirmation hearings.
So, if John Kerry is a good Secretary of State, he will immediately withdraw his nomination and choose someone more qualified and acceptable as his new Deputy — unless John Kerry is such a bad Secretary of State that he can’t convince anyone qualified and acceptable to serve under him.
All of Obama’s picks are unqualified commie quislings. What else is new?
