HUIMANGUILLO, Mexico — The big-time gasoline thieves had already come and gone during the wee hours, filling their tanker trucks with stolen fuel and then fleeing.

Then dawn broke, and word spread that a crime gang had again tapped into a gasoline pipeline, and it was spewing fuel into a ditch. At first, only a few farmers showed up, carrying plastic jerry cans. Then dozens. Then even more. All were eager to collect what spilled fuel they could.

Mexico is plagued by rampant energy theft. In the first eight months of this year, 7.5 million barrels went missing, a rate of about 30,000 52-gallon barrels a day, enough to fill a fleet of more than 100 tanker trucks. Organized crime groups are behind much of the theft, which occurs along a network of pipelines that carry gasoline, diesel, crude oil, natural gas and petrochemicals around the nation.

Coming soon to a pipeline (or gas tank) near you. You can thank the marxist commie pig in the oval office for that.

Good thing gasoline isn't flammable or that could have been dangerous.

After they steal a new Ford F-250 from someone here in America, they normally steal the fuel to get to Mehico from construction sites. I was wondering where they get the fuel for the return trip.

I remember seeing a news item in the past, similar circumstances. The free-for-all ended when someone triggered an explosion, and dozens died.

If it is movable property the illegals will steal it.(See articles in San Joaquin Valley California newspapers with regard to such thefts.) Why should the invaders respect our laws? The American government, State governments and many citizens do not want the present immigration “system” changed. We would rather die as a people than give up the votes and low wages.

I worked with a Pakistani who told me people tapped into power lines back in the old country.

Nothing new, lots of Mexicans have been stealing electricity for decades, fuel too. I guess it’s only news when the theft is major.

They do that here at the houses where they grow marijuana. They bypass the meter socket to power their 1000 watt bulbs and the exhaust systems to vent the house.
