I like trees; it’s too bad that disease has taken a toll on their “diversity”.

If there were no trees, I don’t think that human civilization would have developed. Not enough caves, and rock and stone are very hard to work with.

Great line...We live about 100 yards from the ocean and the cabin in front of our home had a huge grove of cedar trees behind it, completely obscuring our view of the ocean. The neighbors were very nice and allowed us to cut many of them down (at our considerable cost) and we have a 3 story house with decks on every level overlooking the ocean. We used the trees as firewood for a fireplace and woodstove for 3 winters. Every other neighbor hated us.

because I’ve never heard him give a true definition of liberalism.
