Absent the credible threat of impeachment, Obama will pardon millions of illegal aliens.

There is high anxiety over President Obama’s impending unilateral amnesty order for millions of illegal aliens. How many millions? The estimates vary. On the low end, 3 to 8 million, assuming some correlation to the potential beneficiaries of the president’s already existing amnesty decrees (including DACA or Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals). On the high end, as many as 9 to 34 million, factoring in likely categorical expansions of amnesty and their ramifications over the next several years.

The nation overwhelmingly objects to Obama’s immigration lawlessness, but it has no stomach for the only effective counter to it — the plausible threat of impeachment.

Nevertheless, Obama made clear again this week that he intends to push ahead with massive amnesty by executive order. Further infuriating the public with his cynicism, he has strategically but quite openly delayed his directive until after the election, as if to say, “The rubes are too stupid to grasp what I’m doing even when I make no secret of it!”

The 11 million illegal aliens that Obama wants to grant Amnesty is equal to the combined population of Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, DC, Vermont, and Wyoming.

And let us not ignore the tidal wave of illegals flooding across the border to get their fair share.

Oh, and they will also have to be pardoned.

Without the 67 votes necessary to convict, Obama feels he is golden, (and he is). Unless the Pubbies can convince enough moderate Democrats that their future is in peril if Obama continues along his anti-constitutional track nothing can or will happen. I am even somewhat suspect of a few of the RINO Republicans when it comes to voting for conviction. BTW, how many votes does it take to impeach, say, an Attorney general? Anyone know?

best bet is to remove all funding...then reverse the decision also by executive action..in 2016...

Obama is one man with a massive ego. With the losses from the election, the immigration issue has become about his defiance, like a petulant child. He will not listen and not do what's good for the country because he is not capable. He won't back down for any reason except maybe impeachment solely because of his ego. He wants to show that he's a big boy despite the wishes of the American citizens. It's all about him and his ego-one man against the American citizens. Too bad they have taken impeachment off the table.He's very immature.

I think one of the lessons of last Tuesday's election is that Obama does not care what happens, as long as his agenda continues. There is a part of him, I fear, that would relish being the Impeached Martyr, as the Proof that Racism Still Rules Among the Privileged.

Therefore, even the threat of impeachment is not sufficient to stop the pardons because he may welcome the opportunity to play the victim of the dastardly Republican Congress in the public’s view.

The leaders of Congress likely know this, so, checkmate.

Question please...If what is going to occur is illegal under current immigration laws and President can not issue EO’s that are contrary to law, then, aren’t the bureaucrats subject to criminal charges if they act to implement an illegal EO?

Why? Why must they be here to stay? What has been done can usually be undone. Somebody says something can’t be fixed. I say what a man has made man can fix.

Impeachment isn’t enough. Impeachment is just firing the President. That’s not enough. The problem, the real problem, is the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party is a tick. It lives by sucking life from The United States Of America. The Democrat Party tick is now life threatening. It is not only huge and sucking the life out of The United States, but it has many viruses in its gut that it pours into our nation. It infects us with laziness and shoddy work and anger and ignoring our responsibilities.
Obama is a horrible President, but it is the Democrat Party that has given him the opportunity to prove that to the world. The Democrat Party must be dismantled. The tick is too large and dangerous to ignore.

To be technical, Impeachment is very simple and the House will Impeach by a large margin. There are ample grounds to do this now. However, the chances that the Senate would vote for removal are slim to none. Under current circumstances, that is.

Okay, if impeachment is out, something must be done to restore the constitutional balance of power abrogated by congress. DACA is illegal. Congress still controls the money. Freeze every penny for DACA execution. Cut funding for every one of Obama’s pet projects. Cut USAF funding for Air Force One. Cut funding for the president’s “advisors” such as Valerie Jarrett. Hell, cut funding for his arugula salads! The money can be used like a choke chain on a mad dog.

I understand the ‘long ball’ strategy from Krauthammer (and others) of not taking the Impeachment bait. It’s scorched earth, nuclear option, etc, but it may very well be the only arrow in the quiver.

Many on the left are astounded at the high level of delusion and denial going on in the White House, so there will be ample support should 0bama actually sign the order. The threat of it from ‘his side’ may actually prevent it from happening.
