Two F16 aircraft of the Portuguese Air Force (PAF) went out on a mission of air defense of the airspace of national responsibility on the 29th of October.
During the morning of Wednesday, the Air Defense System of two unidentified FA detected in north-west Portugal and south direction, flying high, fast and no communications with Air Traffic Control aircraft.
The Center for Reporting and Control of PAF reported immediately to the NATO military structure on which, it was decided to activate the pair of F16 Fighting Falcon aircraft on alert at Monte Real Air Base to intercept and identify aircraft.
After performing visual recognition, the aircraft were identified as bombers Tu-95 "Bear", a Russian national, who, however, changed course to the north, and was escorted to his departure airspace of national responsibility.

I meant to add that as far as I know, there is no Biblical prophetic scripture that specifies that Russia will obtain world conquest; however, Russia will attack Israel along with a number of Arab nations, and they will be attacked and destroyed by God Himself:

For a minute, I thought this thread was part of the FR WW-II series of threads on what happened today, only 70 years ago.
Portugal is a member of NATO. Putin is just testing our reactions, seeing what we can put up against him. He’s reminding us that Russia still has global reach and punch.
We will see what crude prices do when Iran closes the Straits of Hormuz.

I guess these Bears are all that the Ruskis have now. This is the plane that has the double counter-rotating turbo props that permanently deafen their crews and can be tracked by our subs due to the noise.

The design dates to the 1950s, but all currently flying were built within the last 25 years. Our B-52 airframes are older.

BUFF’s airframe design is older. The current flying are not.
There is no comparison between the Bear and the BUFF, aside them both being heavier than air ships.

The world is in for a very precarious time for the next 2 years. Nothing can be ruled out at this point.
For now the greatest threat the Persians have is from the Saudis.
