They think of Cubans as being European whites— which the Spanish descent truly white Cubans came from.
Higher class Cubans (in the US, that is) regard themselves as the top Euro-hispanic group over all other “latinos”, and look down on the South American indios, and other strains. Because these kinds of Cuban-Americans are loyal to the US, and believe in our Constitution—that is why the MSM hates them- because Cuban-Americans usually carry themselves with dignity and culture— and the meztisos fit this bill

Yup. Part of the back story behind my screen name.
Let's hope so. However, the 1960s were long ago, and the Cubans "escaping" today may well be quite a bit different in outlook, education, culture, and yes, even race. Cuba is a lot more "Afro-Cuban" than it was in 1960.
Let's also be aware that any "refugee" wave usually contains its share of spies, agents provocateurs, and other insalubrious types. What this new wave really demonstrates is that we have absolutely no control over our borders, especially the one with Mexico.

That was the one and only time when liberals wanted to deport anyone in 2 decades. By that logic, all these illegal children that recently came here would be reunited with their families.
