I want to start carrying to protect my church too.
They are very lucky to have you in their congregation.
The church I spoke about having guards, there were also lots of people who carried. Several women packed in their purses.
Well, I’ve decided to carry and I will remain quiet about it. IF, IF that time came up and I had to use it, then I’d doubt few would be mad that I brought it with me.
You bet about taking it seriously. I am just not understanding my pastor thinking that all is well with the world and that evil will never come to our door. I pray it doesn’t but you can never say never. I ain’t just talking about the religion of peace either. I am thinking of thugs, bangers, druggies needing a fix, also.
That is the way I’d do it too. Quietly carry, and be glad I had it if needed.
I would advise you to speak with your attorney about carrying in your church. Have a third party speak to your pastor about what insurance coverage the church has and what restrictions are on the policy.
Hold a meeting and get assurances from everyone there that they approve of you carrying during the services. Think twice before you risk your future for people who possibly won’t contribute a dime to your attorney fees.
Alabama has a carry law and I have my permit. Unless the building says you cannot carry in there, I carry in there. There is nothing in our building that says I cannot. I spoke last night with our head deacon. We were talking about the stuff in Canada and I again brought up the locking of our doors when services start and someone being on watch out in the main lobby. We have a TV screen out there where you can see and hear everything inside the main sanctuary. So easy to put someone out there. I told him heck I will do it every week if need be, but we need to lock the doors.
What was his reply?
