Story just updated:

The second healthcare worker who tested positive for Ebola last night flew by air Oct. 13th, the day before she reported symptoms, reported the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in a release.

She flew on Frontier Airlines flight 1143 Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth. The CDC is asking all 132 passangers on the flight to call 1 800-CDC INFO (1 800-232-4636). Passengers will be monitored for symptoms and interviewed about the flight.

I’ve been disturbed by the attempts to blame the nurse in the instance of Nina Pham.

However, this person knew and was presumably under observation. Coworker Ms. Pham had already been diagnosed.

Getting on a plane was the height of irresponsibility.

Oh, that would be such a fun phone call to get. “Hello, Mrs. smith, were you flying Frontier Air the other day from Ohio? Wonderful, how was your flight? Well, as it so happens, the person sitting two rows up from you but one seat over has come down with Ebola. Have you been around any other people in the last few days? Do you have a thermometer? Great...”

The patient flew into Cleveland Oct. 10 on Frontier Flight 1142, the airline added.

She was in Cleveland for a few days before. May be many more exposed

This is what happens when Ebola gets to a mobile first world country. Previous outbreaks were in isolated rural areas. We are the most mobile society on the planet....
