Health officials tracing Dallas Ebola patient’s path (Dallas ambulance was in use 2 more days)
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram ^ | September 30, 2014 | Judy Wiley and Monica Nagy

A man in a Dallas hospital has Ebola, the first human case of the deadly virus diagnosed in the United States, doctors at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.

The patient, who is in an isolation unit at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, did not develop symptoms until four days after he arrived from West Africa, officials said at a hastily called press conference at the CDC’s headquarters in Atlanta.

“He was checked for fever before getting on the flight,” said CDC Director Thomas Frieden. “There is no reason to believe anyone on the flight was at risk.”

The Ebola virus is not spread through the air, but through contact with bodily fluids of victims — sweat, blood, saliva and other secretions.

The patient, whom officials would not identify, flew to the United States on Sept. 20, and began feeling ill on Sept. 24, Frieden said.

He sought care at the Dallas hospital on Friday and was sent home with antibiotics, Dr. Edward Goodman of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital said at a separate press conference in Dallas. Goodman said the hospital is looking into why the patient was discharged....

ID 50 is 1-10 virons.

Yes, if the airborne droplets impact a mucous membrane (that includes the eyes) you can be infected. Normal range for that sort of thing is about 3 feet, but fine droplets can travel farther depending on air currents.

That also goes for the spray from vomit.

Compared to containing Ebola and thwarting terrorist plots, it would seem that locking the White House doors was a comparatively easy mission to accomplish. Recent revelations regarding that fantasy go a long way in explaining much else. Like 9/11 for instance, when American airspace was left unlocked. Since the government is too big to be fired and has every confidence in itself, my goodness, we’ve come to one pretty pass.

Health officials tracing Dallas Ebola patient’s path.. some how, that doesn’t inspire confidence.

My guess under this administration is the CDC can’t use profiling as a means to track people because it would be racist i.e. just because someone comes from West Africa doesn’t mean they have Ebola.

CDC Director Thomas Frieden: “There is no reason to believe anyone on the flight was at risk.”

Weasal words.

Frieden would be (slightly) more believable if he had said, "I bet my life that no one on the flight was at risk."

“But we could have disallowed flights to and from hot zones.”

Clearly that should have been done weeks, if not months, ago.

I heard yesterday that British Air stopped all flights to and from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea (pretty sure Guinea’s the third one).

The Brits are the kings and queens of world travel, if they aren’t traveling there, neither should anyone else.

The entire ebola false flag is a CIA - new world order sponsored false attack.

If it was real it would not be receiving THIS much attention in press.

Drudge is filled with it, top line links.

The propaganda machine spins away...

Give up your guns, rely on the government, you need the government, you’re helpless, the boogie man is coming for you, give the government the power to have military-enforced lockdowns - it’s for “homeland security” ! See, there were zombies on TV the past couple years - now it’s coming true in real life ! You need the government to save you !

What crap.

Could Obamao be tacitly using germ warfare against his state political rivals?

Interesting question. But even this, if proven, wouldn’t motivate our treasonous “R” congress to impeach him.

“..can we ever quarantine enough people to fix this?”

Thanking The Lord above it is not associated with gays only for we know there would be no quarantine if it was thus politicized.

Interesting observation: Obama and Ebola share birthplaces and both are Africa's gift to Texas and America! It will be a long time before these twin stains are washed off America.

Pity the poor saps in American Emergency rooms. Now they will have to click a mark on the computer generated record of recent travel from Africa and now Dallas and then what?

Everybody at risk is quarantined in a FEMA center located near you?

It has been the plan all along. Bring out ye dead!

You can say Ebola’s not airborne, but if sharing your infected bodily fluids by those delivery methods, can infect, then in that sense, it’s airborne.

Rand Paul, who is a physician, said he cannot get an answer regarding how the two American doctors who became infected as they were gowned, masked and gloved properly when working with the patients.

If he is getting stonewalled, Ebola may be getting into people via other transmission lanes.

this

as I read this he is not a US citizen

why are Liberians still coming here when Americans are being told not to go there

so they check for “fever” at the airport? Apparently not valid. How about a questionnaire about where he’d been? BTW how many airport “fever checkers” have got ebola

and wth the hospital gave this guy antibiotics and sent him hme the first time- d.oh. Where’s the CDC on its guidelines if doctors are not smart enough to be very very alert and wary of newly arrived sick Liberians

The ambulance service is The Fire Department. Every fireman who rode in that box and those back at the station are pretty stressed right now. Who wants to go home and bring it to their kids ?

Doctors have been largely replaced in ER's by Nurse Practitioners. There is a doctor on staff who collaborates with them on the computer regarding diagnosis, protocol, treatment.

Feeling better now?

Agreed. And, if you want to cull and limit conservative influence across the country, Texas is the logical choice for this to happen (in the eyes of liberals). No doubt that some are silently giddy at the prospects of conservatives dying off in Texas.

Ebola is not a false flag, its a real virus that has a extremely high fatality rate in a short time(some strains of ebola kill up to 90%, this one is around 60%)
