Pot is one thing, but three ounces is a lot for a casual user and is usually reserved for dealers. Wait . You werent selling that weed were you, Mark? And, then, amphetamines? Really?
Its no secret in Colorado that Sen. Mark Udall has some problems telling the truth. Its probably also relatively well-known that Mark Udall admitted to The Rocky Mountain News (RIP) that he was arrested for possession of marijuana. But, heres Sen. Udalls dirty little secret it wasnt just marijuana and it was a little more complicated than he shrugged off in the Rocky.
...
The punishment for Udalls crime was a little bit stiffer than he let on. He was fined $300 (thats about $1,500 in todays dollars), ordered to spend one night in jail (not by his father), and put on probation for six months. In addition, the state of Arizona seized the car he was driving in a civil action. The car was valued at $1,500 then, or about $8,000 in todays dollars.
Is transporting drugs and felony drug charges a youthful indiscretion? It seems like a bigger deal than just a night in jail, as Udall described. But, whats a bigger deal is that when Udall was asked about this episode in a candidate questionnaire, he lied. He glossed over the fact that this was a months-long legal battle, he lost his car, he was on probation, and that he was transporting dangerous drugs.

Probably won’t matter much to the people that would vote for him.
I used to think that Colorado was a great state. Spent many many weeks there over a 30 year period at the company training facility. Now it, like so much of democrat/Marxist controlled America has turned to Shiite! Glad I’m retired and don’t have to go there any more.
Gardner needs high turnout from rural Colorado to beat this fraudster
“Probably wont matter much to the people that would vote for him.” Boy, ain’t that the truth! It will probably incentivize them. “Look, he’s one of us!!!”
The dead and illegals vote often.
I’m sure that = if Udall was a Republican - the MSM would be understanding of “youthful indiscretions” and urge voters to look forward instead of backward. /s
Gardner needs to put this kind of information out in TV and radio commercials.
High-dead-illegal” one or all of the above are his base
For the Democrat base, this is just a resume enhancer.
Dang! I must be getting old. I remember Udall being arrested and charge with felonies and then the District Attorney reducing the charges. I also remember people being upset that he likely got special treatment because he was a senator’s son.
On the front seat? Not the sharpest knife in the drawer then either.
Laughable as it happened in 1973. Meaningless, particularly since they actually elect, appoint or otherwise employ radicals that killed cops during that era.
Can we move on and ditch the lies by innuendo please. The article was definitely written for the low IQ voter in mind.
Sorry, Udall’s voters are high. Gardners are good, law-abiding citizens.
