Romney 2016 is for real
Washington Examiner ^ | September 24, 2014 | Byron York

Is Mitt Romney, who ran for the Republican presidential nomination and lost in 2008, ran again and won the nomination but lost the general election in 2012, really thinking about running yet again for president in 2016? Many Republicans have simply assumed not. Romney has seemed to discourage such talk in media appearances, and there has been a general belief that after losing as the party's nominee, the 67 year-old Romney would return to private life for good.

That belief is wrong. Romney is talking with advisers, consulting with his family, keeping a close eye on the emerging '16 Republican field, and carefully weighing the pluses and minuses of another run. That doesn't mean he will decide to do it, but it does mean that Mitt 2016 is a real possibility.

It CAN happen and in 1964, 1980 and 1984, it DID happen. There are more GOP conservatives than GOPe. If we unite on ONE candidate, it not only CAN happen, it WILL happen.

Nixon and Reagan both ran three times.....

First off, counting Nixon's election and reelection as 2 of those three times is misleading don't you think?

How does Romney fit into to the company of these, or any successful politicians?

Romney has been running for office for more 20 years, and only won a single election, and couldn’t win reelection and left with 34% approval.
How does a permanent loser with a single election win 12 years ago, manage to get propped up like Romney does?

So what is Romney Going to run on?

“Obama did what I said i would do when i ran in 2012”

So Basically “Vote for Romney for another 8 years of Obama”

Gosh, eight years of you guys selling Romney as the lesser of two evils, quite a convincing campaign you have going for you.

Jeb or Romney means Hillary is president.

You can say the same about any candidate the Stupid Party puts forward at this point.

It sickens me that I'm already seeing "Ready for Hillary" bumper stickers here in Illinois. I got so pissed off at one dumb-ass with one on his vehicle at the gas station the other day I yelled at him "Ready for Hillary what? To fuck up the country worse than Obama already has?!"

I must've had a really mean look on my face, that idiot couldn't drive off fast enough....

Simple. Liberals claiming to be on the right want him. So they keep pushing him and demanding everyone pretend he’s a severe conservative because the dem, whose records are actually more conservative (as in 1% vs 0%) is somehow worse.

Such people also thank Big Brother for increasing their chocolate ration from 30 grams to 20 grams.

Oh please. Many of us didn’t fall in line in 2012? Yes, that is very true. But we also couldn’t be vocal about it here.

Hint: next time you come back, don't make it so obvious that you are a Romneybot retread.

Hope I didn't damage any other trailers next to yours.

We want Romney to run, stop whining about this.

Along with Jeb. Ryan. Christie. And every other RINO. For a looong time. Encourage them. All.

It's the one way to insure we can get a conservative nominee.

LOL! I didn’t fall in line with the lying lib loser last time. I see absolutely no reason to start.

Let me remind you, this is a conservative site. It’s OK to hate libs and their beliefs here and Mitt Romney is most definitely a socialist lib with socialist lib ideas.

Why not?—Its an American tradition—if you are cheated in an election—wait four years and try again—Reagon was cheated in 1976 ran in 80 and won. Even Andy Jackson was cheated and ran again to win and find greatness. Other examples exist. He should at least try—if the GOP thinks he wouldn’t be a great president—let them at least have Mitt as a choice in the primary. Ted Cruz—great man—too inexperienced, Sarah Palin, Too Toxic (thank you Tina Fey) Rick Perry ? Newt ? Walker Maybe.

Mitt Romney too liberal. He hates running against liberals. Since I doubt the dems will be running any conservatives any time soon, if Mitt somehow manages to win the republican nomination again, the result will be the same. He’ll lose. He won’t try to beat Hillary or Fauxcahontas. They are his fellow libs.

Ted Cruz—great man—too inexperienced

1. So, how is Mitt Romney more experienced than Ted Cruz?
2. And how does your definition of "experience" trump the distinct and vast differences that exist between the two men in terms of honor, policy positions, and past history?

If he REALLY wants to win, he can run as the Democrat he’s always been.
