BLOOMING GROVE TOWNSHIP — One Pennsylvania State Police trooper is dead and another is injured following a shooting at a barracks in Pike County.
State police have confirmed there was a shooting late Friday night at the Blooming Grove barracks.
Authorities confirm on trooper is dead and another was wounded.
Their names have not been released.
It happened along Route 402 in Blooming Grove Township.
Investigators said it happened Friday night as the two troopers were changing shifts. They were shot outside the barracks by a shooter or shooters.
Troopers say no one is in custody and a massive manhunt is under way, with police from Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey involved in the search.

Officials tell WPVI that a jeep was found in swampy area near the barracks in Blooming Grove.
Inside that jeep was evidence that connects the suspect to the ambush.
WPVI reports that state police say the Jeep is registered to the suspect’s father, but is owned by the suspect who lives and works in Delaware.

The guy is a walking nutjob.
Trust me, the state troopers and local law enforcement are 100% uninterested in wrapping up the case quickly by targeting the wrong guy, and 100% dedicated to getting the guy who really did this. He just did it badly and drove his getaway jeep into a retention pool while he was escaping through the woods.
Lucky for the cops to find solid evidence already, not so lucky for us who live nearby and know this guy is armed, scared, had his escape plan ruined and is just fine with murdering innocent people.
It has been several days and not a sighting on the guy?
The way one article described the vehicle, they implied it was ditched before the shooting.
Plus, I have never met anyone that holds onto berden primed brass, it is as worthless as spent 22lr. (he was shooting Aussie surplus 7.62 ammo)
