IRS: As the 2014 midterms approach, what has become a political arm of the Obama administration has targeted — as it targeted the Tea Party — a leading conservative truth-teller that has exposed so many of its lies.
Even as the IRS races to cover up a prior abuse of power, it ruthlessly engages in another, using its power to tax in an attempt to destroy the vast truth-gathering enterprise launched by the late Andrew Breitbart, which the administration apparently ranks right alongside the Tea Party atop its enemies list.
Last Friday, the IRS stretched credulity beyond the breaking point with the announcement that five more staffers linked to the Tea-Party targeting that Breitbart News labored mightily to expose had — wait for it — hard-drive crashes that caused emails to be lost.
These staffers include Judith Kindell, who was a senior adviser to Lois Lerner, former head of the IRS division overseeing tax-exempt groups who pleaded the Fifth in congressional testimony.
In a February 2011 email, The Hill reports, Lerner insisted that Kindell be in the loop on Tea Party cases, saying they were "very dangerous."
Another experiencing the hard drive crash epidemic was Nikole Flax, who was chief of staff to interim IRS chief Steven Miller, who was forced out as the Tea Party scandal broke. Both the targeting and the cover-up were fully covered by Breitbart News, which frequently exposed Obama administration lies.

Totally agree with you about the IRS abusing the power given to them by the American People.
If I were the Breitbart lawyer, a letter would be sent to the IRS stating:
We will not cooperate in any way with any audit of our financial records. This will be our stance until the completion of the Investigation of IRS’ targeting of Conservative Americans and the groups with which they choose to freely associate.
Breitbart Inc., believes this audit is not legitimate and is an abuse of power by the IRS by targeting Conservatives in America...to shut down free speech etc...
