No wonder the confusion. In my first post I meant to say “east”.
I think we are in agreement. Russia doesn’t have the ability to significantly sell the volumes it sell to Europe this year to someone else. Likewise, Europe cannot replace that volume from someone else.
While pipelines are the cheapest way to ship the product, it does limit the options for those on both ends of the line.
