Almost two weeks ago, the Washington Post ran a story with this headline: Obamas Silence on Death of Major General Harold Greene Comes Under Fire.
General Greene, a two-star general, was killed during an ambush in Kabul, Afghanistan that wounded at least 15 others. He was the highest-ranking American military officer killed in a war zone since Vietnam. The Washington Post put it this way: The shooting has been met with silence from another member of Greenes chain of command: President Obama. The commander-in-chief has said nothing about the incident, leaving it to the Defense Department and his own press secretary, Josh Earnest, to discuss it.
It wasnt that Obama wasnt available. The African summit was taking place and Obama was buzzing all over town, making public appearances and voicing his opinions. On things that mattered to him.
Fast-forward two weeks. This past Thursday, Major General Harold Greene was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. Some wondered why President Obama wasnt there. Or, barring the presidents unavailability due to important events, why Vice President Joe Bite Me didnt show up. And if Bite Me had other things on his calendar at least maybe Secretary of State John Kerry, or even the Secretary of Defense, might be there. According to news reports, all were no-shows.
We later learned where Obama was during the funeral of the highest-ranking military officer killed in theater since Vietnam.
At the Vineyard Golf Club.
Dealing with what matters.
To him.
Seems the CIC really, really, does not like the military.
The military that’s protecting his a.....
He couldn’t speak out because it would offend his true constituency.
We don’t figure into this plans at all, except in how to parcel off what domestic and global assets, prestige, and allies we used to have.
His hopes for a grand caliphate are moving along nicely.
As we recede, another entity increases.
Most democrat activist types despise the military.
Bill Clinton said he, "loathed the military".
I went to high school with a real leftist activist who many time spat out the words, "we should kill everyone in the military, then there would be no more wars".
These folks really hate us.
He is now retired from being the engineer for Vermont Public TV or radio, I forget which.
But he is contemplating going to Ferguson?
But when it comes to treyvon and the “gentle giant” he can’t wait to get in front of the TV cameras. He’ll even cancel his round of golf.
Obama is not worthy to stand at the funeral of such great heroes, based on his past actions. It’s best for him to stay away.
Jug ears is not really the president.... Besides, he’s just not presidential material.
........if I were General Greene’s family, I would have made it absolutely clear to the White House that I did not want the sob there under any circumstances, or Joe Biden, or ANY White House official!
I don’t know about Hagel! I would have to think long and hard on whether or not I would want that low life there either with my father or husband in that casket fixing to be lowered into the ground FOREVER! Now that I do think about it, I’m sure I would not.
Frankly, the RIGHT thing for a scum bucket like Obama to do, which could have earned him some points in some quarters, would be to request George W. Bush and/or his Dad, to attend the funeral on his behalf! As the wife or son, I would have been all for that! At least both are Patriots notwithstanding their not so good overall performance as Presidents, from the conservative perspective.
He’d get along well with head Marxist editor I knew at south carolina ETV. She retired or was made to a few years back.
Obama doesn’t care about General Greene, any more than he cared about Agent Terry, Ambassador Stevens, any of the others who have had to die for his self-aggrandizement. It’s of no consequence to soulless “progressives” such as Barack Hussein Obama.
