Russia and Iran attack ISIS Jihadists
CNN ^ | August 11, 2014 | Dr. Michael Evans

President Barack Obama has announced that the United States launched air strikes on the terrorist organization ISIS to assist Kurdistan. It is likely you have not seen a headline that says, “US Strikes help Kurds retake towns.” That is because it never happened. The air support came from Russian and Iranian planes. The only problem is that’s not entirely true.

My contacts in Kurdistan are now saying that many of these attacks are being launched by the Iraqi air force. The only problem is that the US government has not sold airplanes to Iraq, but Russia has armed them with SU-25s. These are Russian jets bearing an Iraq insignia and are piloted by Russian pilots since Iraq does not have trained aviators to handle the jets.

In addition, Kurdish officials have related to me that the Iranian air force has also attacked ISIS targets on the Iraqi side of their shared border. Kurdish leaders have also said that the greatest assistance being received in Erbil on the ground is from Israel, not the United States.

The Russkies and Mullahs only like terrorists when they're under their control. In all other cases, they're the terrorists themselves, or paying for them.

Report: U.S. airstrikes carried out as part of Iraqi effort to retake Mosul Dam
CNN ^ | 8-15-2014 | Anna Coren and Chelsea J. Carter
U.S. warplanes carried out airstrikes in northern Iraq near ISIS-controlled Mosul Dam early Saturday morning, the Kurdish news agency Rudaw reported, citing eyewitnesses.

CNN confirmed that a U.S. and Iraqi military operation aimed at retaking the country's largest hydroelectric dam from the so-called Islamic State was scheduled to begin early Saturday morning (Friday at 6 p.m. ET).

The operation was to begin with U.S. and Iraqi airstrikes against ISIS positions, with Iraqi and Kurdish Peshmerga forces following up on the ground.

Go mother Russia!

Russia is just extending its influence in the region to fill the vacuum left by Obama's policies. They are assisting their client Iran and their potential client Iraq. Beyond supporting Russia's interests, they are doing nothing noble.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE This article is the iReporter’s opinion. CNN cannot confirm the claims made in the article.

*** CNN probably does not want to confirm the claims made in this article. Makes Obama and the US look bad.

Word from the Kurds.

ISIS leader flees to Syria fearing US airstrikes: Kurdish official
Asharq Al-Awsat Via LCCC ^ | Friday, August 15, 2014 | Dalshad Abdullah
Erbil, Asharq Al-Awsat—Leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and self-proclaimed caliph Abu-Bakr Al-Baghdadi fled the northern city of Mosul to return to Syrian territory after the US authorized airstrikes on ISIS positions in Iraq, a Kurdish official said.

In comments to Asharq Al-Awsat, Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) spokesman Saeed Mamo Zinni said: “Caliph of the Islamic State Abu-Bakr Al-Baghdadi left Mosul for Syria a few days ago.”

“According to our intelligence sources, Abu-Bakr Al-Baghdadi traveled to Syria as part of a convoy of 30 Hummer vehicles after fearing being targeted by US airstrikes,” Zinni said. He added that Kurdish Peshmerga forces have been able to kill a number of ISIS senior leaders.

Russian moslem problems come from Sunnis almost exclusively. They have no big heartburn with the Shiites. Lot of self interest there.

“I doubt are in America’s best interests”

Let’s make a distinction between Obama’s interests and American interests...

I think that I prefer the Russian designs over Hussein's, I know that he is the ultimate EVIL!

” Kurdish leaders have also said that the greatest assistance being received in Erbil on the ground is from Israel, not the United States.”

So why is our media and the worlds media NOT giving Israel the credit for providing the greatest assistance. Guess it only embarrasses our state department, Haggel, kerry and the rest of the worlds left wings.

Pathetic.

Note that CNN also left out the efforts of the Israeli’s who the Kurds said provided MORE aid than the US military.

I believe this story is true. I’ve seen/read on youtube and other places that Iraqi are doing bombing runs, but since Iraqi can’t possibly have air force pilots yet, it make sense that some other country pilot are flying them
