ISIS In Iraq Have Saddam Hussein’s WMD, Was George Bush Right To Fear Terrorist Attack In America?

With the ISIS in Iraq having access to old stockpiles of Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction, some websites are now claiming former President George W. Bush has been “exonerated.” Some even go so far as to raise the fear of ISIS in America launching a terrorist attack. But are there actual limits to the Iraq WMD stockpiles the ISIS fighters have managed to recover?

For example, this is what a website called Political Ears published the other day:
“President Obama is currently meeting privately with his cabinet to discuss the news from Iraq that ISIS has discovered scores of Weapons of Mass Destruction that Saddam Hussein had hidden before the start of the US Invasion in 2003. The UN security council is scheduled to meet for an emergency session…. Jihadists now control nuclear, chemical, and biological WMD, creating a global crisis of the highest order. It is now believed that ISIS is now able to threaten the US Homeland with a mushroom cloud of destruction in as little as 10 hours. ISIS has called for a summit with participating axis of evil nations to discuss strategy.”

And all the media ignored it, except for AP, Reuters, and a few others....most of them delayed and hid the info as much as possible so they did not have to ‘eat crow’.

Experts in the media often are self-appointed and open to question. Stuff doesn't degrade much in a mere twenty years or so, in hot dry environments. Shells may not be usable as artillery but they would make deadly dirty bombs in the hands, say, of a suicide truck driver.

Yet NOT once did they say Bush and Cheney were right about what they thought were in Iraq. Until today they still say there were no WMD in Iraq, and whether they were fully made or the yellowcake itself(enough to make 50 nuclear bombs) it should have been made public after it was sold, and an apology to Bush and Cheney made!

Seems to me i recall a NYT article around 2006 or 2007 which discussed yellowcake uranium which was still in Iraq in substantial amounts.

Part of the old Niger story was that, since France controlled the mining, it was impossible to smuggle it out.

Then it turned out that the several thousand tons of the stuff that Khadafi had was obtained from Niger. Never a word in the popular press.

I repeat this story from time to time because it has gone down the memory hole.

During the invasion, the troops discovered a chemical plant where they made “nerve agent”. Thanks to the embedded reporters, it was televised. The plant manager was an Iraqi general, and it was guarded by Iraqi troops. It was not on any UN map, it was unknown to the UN inspectors operating in Iraq prior to the war.

Then, a few days later, the newsies informed us that, come to find out, its not nerve agent after all, its agricultural pesticide.

At least three more times that I know of, the troops discovered stockpiles of nerve agent at military ammo dumps which were shown to the press. At one of these, the reporters got sick from exposure.

And in each of these cases, after a couple of days, they came back and informed us again that, nope, it was agricultural pesticide.

So they made WMD disappear by simply redefining it out of existence. I wondered then, just who has that power? When Bush’s presidency hung in the balance over just that issue, who had that power to hide with a linguistic sleight of hand what was already discovered?
