Welcome to Obama’s America, even the comics can’t handle it any longer.

I was looking forward to the Mrs. Doubtfire sequel that was in the works, but that will obviously not happen now. Too bad.

He has long been known as someone on the edge. His comedic riffs were always intensely emotional and physical. Made him very different from most.

Don’t be a jerk. Not everything is because of Obama. RIP Mr. Williams.

This is a “Line of Death”, you cross it, you die.
Ok....you cross this Line, you die.....

This is what Gary Senise tweeted: Gary Sinise @GarySinise 8m R.i.P Robin Williams. His genius as artist & comedian will B missed & his support of R troops no doubt was much appreciated by all who serve How true, eventhough Robin was a liberal but he did support our men and women in uniform and for that he will greatly be appreciated. God I wish he was not alone; I wish someone was there. Our local channel said he hanged himself.

I hope he didn't suicide. I really admired his comedy back in the 70's 80's
and it would be a huge let-down if he gave up the ghost by his own hand.
I can never forgive Suicide. Cowards way out.

Think of all those who are not famous why struggle with these issues. Sad for the person and very sad for the families.
To: mandaladon
RIP brilliant mind, so sad, those of us with friends and family with mental illness, we know the tough rode they are on.
FWIW, a friend has a friend that I have met that is a relative and I have heard stories ( not for here ) as to how funny even around the family.

A comic actor went to see his doctor about depression ... the doctor said to go and see Pagliacci and Tonio The Fool. It’ll make you laugh and you’ll be happy when you leave.. The man answered “I am Tonio”

They call it bipolar now. Cobain and Winehouse I think were also bipolar. Leads to impulsive behavior, addictive personality, poor money management, etc.

Hated his politics but he did some great, great stuff. For some reason the film “Awakenings” comes first to my mind.Anyone who’s never seen it should do so.It’s outstanding!

So many comedians seem to have that dark side that haunted them.

Money, fame, and talent do not bring happiness. I think I could be happy with them.

I couldn’t stand his acting, his comedy or his politics....
Still very sad to hear this and prayers to his family.

I suspect when Jonathan Winters passed, he lost his mentor, and the one person who understood him.
