What You Aren’t Supposed To Know About America’s Closest Ally, Qatar
TCS News ^ | August 3, 2014 | William Michael

The Qataris, and their ruling al-Thani family, are slavers, narcotics traffickers, and financiers of international terrorism. They also happen to be America’s closest ally under Obama.

When analyzing the foreign policy interventions of the Obama administration with respect to the Middle East, it is hard to reconcile their respective approaches Libya (2011) and Iraq (2014).

In 2011, Obama justified the military action to remove Muammar Gaddafi on the basis of anticipated genocide by the Gaddafi regime. Speaking at the National Defense University on March 28, 2011, Obama explained “I refused to wait for the images of slaughter and mass graves before taking action.” In October of that year, Gaddafi was discovered by Libyan rebels, many whom were Islamists linked to al Qaeda, sodomized, and summarily executed. It is worth recalling that Gaddafi had been, since shortly after 9/11/2001, effectively an American ally, if an imperfect one, in the war on terror.

Yet following the fall of Mosul to ISIS in June 2014, and the subsequent exposure by the press of their horrific war crimes, the Obama administration acted strangely inert. The execution of defenseless Iraqi soldiers shocked the world, and ISIS (now known as the Islamic State, or IS) made no effort to hide their crimes: indeed, they proudly advertise them on YouTube. Despite the visual evidence of systematic war crimes and mass murder, Obama announced that he would not provide air support for the Iraqi Army. Under the supervision of the Obama administration, Iraq has gone from relatively stable following the 2007 “surge,” to being occupied in large part by a genocidal army that targets Christians, Shiites, and Muslims.

The most obvious way to explain this is through the lens of America’s closest ally these days, the tiny Middle Eastern peninsula in the Persian Gulf: Qatar.

EVERYTHING obama does either:
a) Weakens America/Americans
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Serves Islam
e) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
I have yet to have anyone raise a single substantive counter example in several years of posting this.

Well, I guess that explains why the Qataris were telling San Fran Nan the other day that Hamas is a “humanitarian” organization - takes one to know one, right? [/s]

Would it really had been that much worse if Saddam got the entire Middle East?

Better to have Hussein in Iraq than Hussein in the White House.

When Gaddafi realized we would go after those who harm us he “put away his toys” and “renounced terrorism.”

When Obama took office it quickly became clear we would take no action against any offense so he acte up, again.

I think the name of that country should be spelled to reflect the way it is actually pronounced — Gutter.

Does anyone recall when it was discovered that millions poured in illegally to the Marxist Muslim 2008 campaign !

Now you know the millions came from.

Qatar bought themselves a Kenyan Sunni Muslim !

“EVERYTHING obama does either: “

True, but the situation with Cutter didn’t start with Obama...it goes back to when the Saudis kicked us out, I think.

I appreciated your posting this. We tend to ignore "Ku-tar" from day to day, but what else explains the refusal by the Obama administration to sell bullets to the Kurds, our present, temporary buffer against ISIS expansion? Who else could afford to waste money building what turns out to be so sophisticated a tunnel network?

What else explains the increasing hostility of Turkey, and why else did Kerry run to the Turks and al-Thanis, this past week?

Imagine how much "innocent" so-called "Palestinian" civilian life would have been saved, these past two weeks, if this administration had agreed to sell bunker busters to the Israelis?

This will eventually be looked back upon with infamy, because it is very possible we are being gradually drawn into a world war, one very much not what many of us would have imagined possible; one oddly similar to the past two world wars, not Cold at all, and on a scale as large as WW II was above WW I.

America’s Closest Ally, Qatar

That's not a valid spelling. It's not pronouncable.

(damn liberals)

It's either Quatar, Cut-R, Kuttar...or maybe Guitar.
