Here’s the reality - your experience was 20 years ago, Iowa politically isn’t the same state it was then. Populism, political definition, is basically a meat-n-potatoes approach to presenting the issues to get votes. I don’t care what the textbook definition is, that’s what it is in Iowa politics.
