Citing Maryland’s recently enacted firearm laws and the prospect of more restrictions, the U.S. arm of legendary Italian gunmaker Beretta announced Tuesday that it would move its manufacturing operations to Tennessee next year. The move makes Beretta the latest maker of guns or ammunition to move all or part of its operations to another state because of tightened gun control laws. General Manager Jeff Cooper said an early version of a statute passed last year by the Maryland state Senate would have prohibited the company from manufacturing or storing products in the state. “While we were able in the Maryland House of Delegates to

“While we were able in the Maryland House of Delegates to reverse some of those obstructive provisions, the possibility that such restrictions might be reinstated in the future leaves us very worried about the wisdom of maintaining a firearm manufacturing factory in the state,” Mr. Cooper said.

Besides, even if you had averted all of them, if you stay your sweat funds fascism while they denigrate you, your products, and your customers. How can you in good conscience, enable fascism? It's not like the existing laws aren't bad enough already, and on every topic, not just guns.

The other thing all these gun makers need to do is refuse to sell guns, training, or spare parts to any state agency or department in these anti-2A states like CA, NY, CT, MD, NJ, and others. If the states cannot buy guns for their thugs, they may learn bad laws have consequences.

Seeing as how Beretta’s been around since 1526, one would tend to believe that they have institutional memory of fascism and aren’t terribly interested in doing that again.

We need some of those jobs on the west end of TN. But with the ‘work’ force available out of the Memphis gene pool, they would not be getting the best workers.

This is old news as it was reported months ago.

field, have you seen any campaigning by our RINO gov? I was surprised he was on the ballot when I went to vote Monday. Course I did a write in, as I won’t vote for him. Voted NO to retain all judges, you can’t tell me what party, how they hand down decisions, I don’t want them on the bench, to many mxwherter and taxquist LIBERAL left overs.

“During the legislative session in Maryland that resulted in passage of the Firearm Safety Act of 2013, the version of the statute that passed the Maryland Senate would have prohibited Beretta U.S.A. from being able to manufacture, store or even import into the State products that we sell to customers throughout the United States and around the world,” Beretta General Manager Jeff Cooper said in a statement."

Tennessee Restaurant Welcomes Armed Customers

Guns Welcome

Arizona - -(Ammoland.com)-A Tennessee restaurant is welcoming armed citizens. The decision was made after the owner read about a convenience store manager that was shot after putting up a “No Weapons Allowed” sign, and after she lost business because some customers thought that she did not allow armed citizens inside. From wbir.com:

“They had put up a sign that said ‘No Weapons Allowed’ and they were robbed at gunpoint two days later. The convenience store manager was shot,” said Floyd. “And that got me thinking. I lost a whole group of motorcyclists because they thought I didn’t allow weapons. But I believe it’s ok to carry as long as you have a permit.”

The restaurant’s name, Shiloh Brew and Chew, has confused some customers. The owner says that the support she has received after putting up the “Guns Welcome” sign is overwhelming:

“Brew is for coffee, chew is for food. So in my mind, my concept all went together. But after I made a $3,000 sign and paid for it, I realized that was not a good marketing idea,” laughed Floyd. “But the ‘Guns are Welcome’ signs have helped boost business.”

She said while one man said he would not come back to her establishment, more than 20 new customers have come through her doors since she posted the signs on three doors.

That’s true. While Nashville/Chattanooga are booming, Memphis is stagnating (with Shelby County dropping something like 20k since 2010, if I recall correctly).

As for Haslam campaigning, got a “personalized” phone call from TN Establishment RINOs today asking to vote for him, Lamar! and some other person. Good thing I didn’t answer the phone, or they’d have gotten an earful.
