The neighborhood I live in is so peaceful, quiet and safe because NO ONE knows that it's here. So, I need no weapon to defend hearth and home.
Even the cabbies don't know where it is and only find it with their GPS. It's been here since 1961 but still unknown. I am DELIGHTED with the entire idea.
The pellet gun is SOLEY to keep those dang crows/ravens away. I was visiting a friend down the coast these past two-three days and was awakened each morning by the dang crows. I KNOW she won't get a pellet gun to scare them away. She accepts them as part of the flora and fauna. And she won't shoot them. She grew up with guns in Arizona but eschews them now. She and her husband are so liberal that they make the Hollyweirdos look positively rightwingfanatic.
My hubby had kept them away for years...but they're baaaaack! And now they are AWAY from my neighborhood. THANK you pellet gun makers of the world!
Went to war with attic-invading squirrels so got a Crossman C02 operated semi-auto pellet gun. Also good for racoons and skunk visitors we have in our back yard.
