It’s a confirmation of reports in June that ISIS had taken control of a site where some of Saddam’s WMD arsenal remained.
Iraq has informed the United Nations that the Islamic State extremist group has taken control of a vast former chemical weapons facility northwest of Baghdad where 2,500 chemical rockets filled with the deadly nerve agent sarin or their remnants were stored along with other chemical warfare agents.
Iraq’s U.N. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Alhakim said in a letter to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon circulated Tuesday that “terrorist” groups entered the Muthanna site June 11 and seized weapons and equipment from the protection force guarding the facility.

Ha! I said when this was originally reported that they were after chemical weapons, while all the MSM peons were saying “its decommissioned!” BS, they knew what was there because Al-Douri told them and now they have it.
From what we saw in Tokyo, just a small amount of Sarin would be devastating. They could hit our embassy in the green zone with this and there would be no protection. It is time to pull out now before Obama gets people killed.

The same old stuff that’s been entombed there by the U.S. military for over a decade. Little if any of it is viable for any current warfare purpose. I hope I do not turn out to be wrong. If so, how is it conceivable that it existed right under the nose of U.S. forces for all those years?

I find it hard to believe that the USA would leave WMD’s in Iraq. Not buying this story as written.
So did we know about the stockpiles? I’ve never heard anything about them. Even from our own side’s leaders.
