Sure, we’ll stop saying nothing is going to happen as soon as the GOP substantively engage the Obama admin on this. They won’t be so we won’t be. Nothing is going to happen because we don’t have an engaged opposition party. They are happy to strut for the cameras at hearing but refuse to use the tools in their toolbox. The Dems know that and rub it in our faces.
Feel free to provide the rest of the class, the evidence that the limp-wristed and gutless GOPe is engaged in a "battle". All they have done is conduct "pissing and moaning sessions" in the form of committee meetings, that have only prolonged this scandal and provided the Demonic Party and their bureaucratic minions time to destroy all of the evidence. Even with their overt in your face "one finger salute" from the IRS Commissioner, the GOPe refuse to appoint a special prosecutor. Nothing will happen... except more pissing and moaning, and law-breaking from the jug-eared communist.
so what then? the power of positive thinking? tell ourselves that something will come of it and something will come of it? that's like: a. enthusiastically believing polls that turn out to be wrong... or b. talking ourselves out of believing polls that show our guy to be tanking--which turn out to be true...

I don’t think people feel smart or smug, I do not.
We are not Egypt or Syria, or Libya, we are Americans with children in school and jobs (I am unemployed unfortunately) and homes in a society that is completely surveilled digitally. We can be rolled up one by one or en masse if need be.
Who do you decide to put one through the head on? Why? Police can swarm you and never fire a shot, just cuff you and it’s goodbye for a long time and no one will have your back or mine.
I only say one thing and it is factual. This isn’t 1776 where we were all armed with rifles (accurate) against an enemy with smooth bore muskets (no good beyond 10-12 yards), fighting an enemy that had to cross the Atlantic from Britain just to get here.
We had the edge in knowledge of terrain, contacts, woodscraft and marksmanship.
Now, they have drones, ground and house pentrating radar, IR optical devices, helicopters, satellites and they can zero out any funds you might have in a bank or brokerage account, seize your property, hold you indefinitely with charges, and cut you off from any communications with anyone and everyone.
They have 50 cals that will drop a house to its foundations, miniguns that will chop down forests, tanks, armored personnel carriers, teargas, and a whole host of grenades (with launchers).
The power balance is unlike any confrontation you could imagine.
Red Dawn was interesting but unrealistic.
So, again, I vote. If I wanted to end my own life for no gain, I could believe and act otherwise and commit copicide.
Please don’t misunderstand me. I would like to think that we will all rise up in righteous anger and armed rebellion and take back our Constitutional Republic.
Unless all or most of the US military joined us along with NG and Municipal, State and county LEAs, it would be us against them.
We would not last three days.
