BAGHDAD (AP) — As the Iraqi government bolstered Baghdad's defenses Sunday, the Islamic militant group that captured two major cities last week posted graphic photos that appeared to show its fighters massacring dozens of captured Iraqi soldiers.

First mistake is calling them soldiers. These guys retreated from a numerically smaller force. Much smaller from all accounts. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this in the middle east. You would think they would grasp whats in it for them if captured and maybe put up some fight instead of being sheep heading for the slaughter.
