Germanys president says his compatriots shouldnt always reject deploying the military to help resolve conflicts... Except that the German military is a hollow shell of its former self, and probably couldn't deploy anywhere without U.S. support. Just like the rest of NATO.

You would prefer the German military to be as it was in 1939?
The Bundeswehr is second only to the US in terms of foreign military deployments. They’ve been in Afghanistan for ages and they’ll be there after Obama surrenders the “war of necessity”.
