Long life. Lots of tunes. Hopefully he is in Heaven. Prayers to family. Never heard of him.

Dang man. I just heard this guy's song Pretend You Don't See Her in the movie Goodfellas. Didn't know who he was, but I kind of liked the song in a sad sort of way.

Maybe you knew him as Gennaro Luigi Vitaliano.
The name didn't mean anything to me either, but I remember having heard "You don't know me" and "I can't stop loving you."

Growing up in the 1960s, my parents had an old stereo in a wooden cabinet. Played albums from all the Italian singers — Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Al Martino and Jerry Vale. All these guys knew how to sing a love song. You don't find singing like that today.
Rest in peace, Mr. Vale.

Nice sentiment. You could have left off the last comment!
Have you ever heard about class?

Long life. Lots of tunes. Hopefully he is in Heaven. Prayers to family. Never heard of him. Ditto. But I've heard of him.
