By the time I saw Three Dog Night live at the Virginia Beach Dome (aka The Alan B. Shepherd Convention Center) in 1969, the song was a hit and featured as an almost 8 minute show closing encore. I still remember rocking hard to Floyd's relentless groove and screaming my brains out at the call and response of "She walk but she never get away", although I was only 14 years-old.
