Ding! Ding! Ding! Winner!

I think it’s just that the music industry has decided only to cater to the lowest common denominator. They don’t want to bother trying to promote good music, because it is easier and more cost effective to promote bad music.

These days, it seems the record labels are little more than distribution. Even distribution has been replaced by I-tunes. Steve Jobs set his sights for all of it and it has been next to impossible for labels to adapt. Most acts now produce their own record, turn it in to the label and they distribute. The pie is sliced differently now. Some say DVDs will no longer be produced in a few years from now.
