We’ve got a national debt that’s out of control, $17 trillion and climbing. Yet, John Kerry just gave foreign workers at the State Department a 42% raise. 42%! When was the last time you got a raise like that?
The Obama Administration is simply out-of-touch with the challenges facing American taxpayers like you and me.

UPDATE: A State Department official, requesting anonymity, writes in to revise the original statement:
“This reference to 42% applies only to the local staff at the embassy in Ethiopia. After a three year wage freeze economic conditions in various countries around the world have resulted in varying increases to a number of U.S. embassies. U.S. law requires that embassies compensate their local employees according to prevailing practice. So while Ethiopia will receive an increase, along with another 75 or so posts this year, there remains a larger number that will not get any increase since the labor markets in those countries do not show that increases are warranted.”

The increase varies by country. Only some employees will get a 42% raise.
But it is still ridiculous.
As if the Republican Senatorial Committee is in touch with America. They spend more money attacking conservatives they dont like than attacking Democrats. No doubt this is a ploy to get the base donating to them again. Yeah right. I give my money to conservatives only, rather than McConnell scams.
