Joe DeGenova: I'm delighted that Democrats don't want to participate
CNS News ^ | 5-5-14 | Susan Jones

CNSNews.com) - Former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova says he'll be happy if Democrats decide not to appoint members to the special select committee on Benghazi that Republicans plan to establish.

"I'm delighted the Democrats don't want to participate. All they would do is obstruct," diGenova told WMAL talk radio in Washington, D.C. Monday morning.

"The president is going to pay a price ultimately," he added. "It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but his performance and Leon Panetta's was shameful that night."

DiGenova says on the night of the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, President Obama did nothing to rescue Americans on the ground and under fire.

"He was doing other things. And this needs to be answered," diGenova said. "Where was the president -- what did he do, hour by hour?"

DiGenova said Obama's actions will not withstand scrutiny, and that's why the White House "lied later and that's why they tried to cover up."

Likewise, diGenova said former Defense Secretary Panetta also has a lot of explaining to do: "He has never been forced to honestly say what he discussed with the president, why he didn't dispatch troops, why people were forced to shut up after all this happened."

DiGenvoa also criticized Panetta's performance that night:

"He should have told the president, Mr. President, you've got to send people in -- even if we don't know we can win. We've got to send them.

"You never leave people on the battlefield. That's what they did. That's what they're afraid of...and if Democrats attempt to delegitimize this, it will never work."

DiGenova says Benghazi has "now reached the level of recognition in the public psyche that this can no longer be ignored. In addition, it is now clear that crimes were committed in the coverup; Congress was denied documents purposely, documents were changed that were sent to Capitol Hill.

"This is obstruction of justice, obstruction of a congressional investigation. And even though there may be no criminal prosecution out of it...because of the totally politicized Justice Department, there is going to be a select committee...and if Democrats don't want to participate, I say fantastic."

DiGenova predicted a "wag the dog" scenario:

"I am predicting right now that the president is now, because of the problem associated with Benghazi, is actually going to order the special forces and the CIA to go into Libya and get the people who committed the crime, something he has been unwilling to do up until now."

It’s probably a good thing to be spared the faux-outrage of the likes of Elijah Cummings. On the other hand the Dims were the sole participants of 0bamaCare.

So far we’ve repeatedly been told where Obama was NOT that night.

Where WAS he?

And was he stoned?

The only question that ‘Rats will be considering is whether their obstruction will be more effective within the committee, or from outside it. Indeed, this can be stated a bit differently: Can they obstruct more effectively from BOTH within and without the committee, or are they better able to obstruct from only the outside.

“You never leave people on the battlefield.”
Actually, patriotic Americans never leave people on the battlefield. Weasely, dog-eat-dog fascists think nothing of doing it... to their own mothers if there is gain in it.

Now what do you folks think about zippy going in and getting “someone- ...anyone... guilty or innocent bystander” just like he locked up the video guy just to say he’s arrested someone? I figure this will happen..... oh wait...... say around end of this October, mere days before the mid-term elections? They have NO interest in arresting the actual perps.

What ELSE will this bunch do that is fake just before the elections?

I think that Obama surrendered to the enemy in Benghazi fairly early in the fight. He went to bed because the deal had been struck. He didn’t need to do anything else and he needed his sleep to be fresh at the fundraiser in Las Vegas. Why else would the enemy release the body of the Ambassador? Why else would the enemy let the CIA employees go to the airport? Why else would American Special Forces “lose” armored vehicles, weapons and night vision equipment in Libya several months after the events in Benghazi? Al Qaeda gave Obama a surrender ultimatum in Benghazi and he accepted it and went to bed. He wasn’t required to do anything else but support Al Qaeda. The big liar.

I cannot think of previous cmte where they have done this.

What they are afraid of must be the largest, most heinous (treasonous) actions known in modern America.

It’s basically a public admission that what they are hiding is truly horrific.

If I were Boehner and I am NOT... I would let the Demonrats label this a witchhunt etc. and not send anyone to participate...

Then a week before the first hearing I would personally invite Democrat Congresscritters in a red states in tough election campaign to be a member of the committee. Then I would Issue a Press release with the same Information.

Let them explain to their constituents why they aren’t interested in a Major Scandal and Cover up by the White House and State Department...

Demrats boycotting?

They also pulled the same thing at the state level. Remember when WI had some critical issues to be voted on after Gov. Walker took office? They fled to another state.

Democrats are no longer capable of feeling shame.
