What Cliven Bundy Knows About “The Negro”
Slate ^ | April 27, 2014 | By Jamelle Bouie

Posted on 04/27/2014 10:02:19 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy is still a cause célèbre for the right-wing, drawing praise from Tea Party activists, Republican politicians, and conservative media outlets. Kevin Williamson of National Review called him a “dissident” like Mohandas Gandhi or Henry David Thoreau, Nevada Sen. Dean Heller hailed him as a “patriot,” and Sean Hannity has praised him as somebody that’s “willing to fight.”

This was bad enough as an instance of conservative recklessness when Bundy was just a lawless rancher backed by armed militamen. It’s even worse now that we know that Bundy is full of racist bones. Here he is, as quoted by the New York Times, speaking to a public gathering of supporters:

~~snip~~

As a Republican candidate for lieutenant governor in Virginia, E.W. Jackson told his supporters that “slavery did not destroy the black family … government did that,” and last year, FreedomWorks—a Tea Party group—released a documentary called Runaway Slave, which details the “Democratic plantation” of welfare and entitlement benefits, used to lure African-Americans away from the Republican Party. And key to the narrative is the idea that these benefits ruined black families, succeeding where slavery failed.

~~snip~~

In short, the only difference between Bundy and a whole host of conservatives is that the renegade rancher isn't sophisticated enough to couch his nonsense in soundbites and euphemism. Or, if Bundy has anything to say about "the negro," he learned it from the conservative movement.

Wait a minute. Are you trying to tell me that the liberal/feminist/homosexualist/abortionist/progressive dominated government is NOT trying to advance abortion, destroy the institution of marriage and make it where people who do not wish to educate themselves and do not wish to work for a living at a well-paying steady job are still guaranteed a 'living wage?'

And that this is NOT succeeding?

Have you not seen the abortion statistics? The chronic unemployment numbers? The failed marriage statistics? The single parent statistics? The crime rates? The incarceration statistics? The growing dependence on food stamps and government welfare programs?

I'd say your liberal/progressive goals are being met beyond your wildest dreams.

And then break it down by race.

Shame on liberalism.

Bundy's a racist! Crucify him! To the wall! Destroy him!

Why don’t the liberals wish to solve the real problem?

Because racism and poverty is a cottage industry and the poor people are just cannon fodder in their never ending war against Christianity, free-enterprise, freedom.

Simple as Pavlov. Ring the bell, give a treat.
Demokkrats. Make a promise, give a treat. Before long the dependent become, well, dependent and can no longer take care of themselves. Or at least have the drive/why bother factor removed.

I heard Bundy being interviewed by Alan Coombs last week. I think he (Bundy) acquitted himself very well. I do think he should stay away from such hot topics that easily, quickly paint a hate target on him. Bundy did not come off as hysterical or some crackpot zealot. He says that he is not prejudiced, but is remarking on what he has seen in his state. I was happy with Alan’s interview, he did not bait or batter the rancher with accusations, but allowed him to speak in complete thoughts. unlike what is likely to happen on news sound bites. Still though, he needs to spend less time on the soapbox unless it is directly related to the BLM Land grab. His sister is a good spokesperson, send her out.

All of this Bundy quotes drama is just a diversion, a smear job. Find out who wants that land, and who is pulling strings at the BLM, and the crooked politician behind this land grab scheme, because that is exactly what this is. Follow the money, and you’ll find out who’s behind all of this.

The fact that the feds sent heavily armed agents to a ranch over a fee issue is the REAL issue here; that is the point that need’s to be driven home with people.

Again how is Mr Bundy remarks on race relevant to the issue..
To the judges in the court of public opinion: I object, it is illrelvent and prejudicial...it has nothing to do with the issue at hand. It is an intellectually dishonest attempted to smear and distract.

Yeah, and a fascist government moved them off their land and destroyed their businesses too. And much worse. And it was all “legal” according to the law and the judges.

Not saying I agree with BLM. In fact I dont know how they have a militarized arm within the agency. My point is here we are a week into the ignorant comments made and not a hint that it ever gets back to the central issue at hand; states rights. I believe we have now lost this one never to be gotten back. We are still talking about race.

I held my nose and clicked the slate link, expecting to see a long treatise with false premises, and wanted to find where and how they set up their poorly reasoned argument. I was stunned to see that this was just a couple of paragraphs with nary an argument.

All the idiot says is that clever greedy black talking heads lie to whites that government has enslaved generations of blacks, and whites lap it up and make them rich. That’s it. Walter Williams et al are Uncle Toms, and whites are all racist and think slavery is better than welfare and abortion.

He never addresses the evil of whole subcultures finding themselves unable to move past handouts. These same do-gooders won’t feed the raccoons at night because it would cause the raccoons to be dependent on their food and no longer be able to care for themselves in the wild.

I don’t agree with racist blanket statements, but there is nothing racist about looking at research on the black family over generations. In the 1940s, most blacks were trying hard to form strong family bonds. This got much better in the 1950s despite rampant and in some cases legal racism. In the 1960s a decline in black families supported by marriage began, around the same time as welfare and abortion. It is worth a dispassionate investigation.

Being in a long study of slavery from the perspective of slaves, I know that during slavery, slaves longed to BE ABLE TO keep their spouses and children together in a family unit. Slavery and rape were what kept them apart. The slaves I’ve listened to had innate morality to live as a proper family. The shame and sadness when they were kept apart or pulled apart was overarching. Today, in 2014, nothing like that is occurring. Yet less family units are together. Isn’t it right that we as a nation study how this came about? It wasn’t slavery.

The Bundy issue has nothing whatsoever to do with race other than the left is trying to make it so. The issue is and will forever be socialism/fascism vs freedom. The federal government has no constitutional business whatsoever in ‘owing’ 80% of any state. And even less business persecuting American citizens.

“These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.”-Lyndon B Johnson

Shame on liberalism.

Shame on liberalism for using the cry of RACISM as a smoke screen to keep everyone from having an honest discussion about race.

Shame on liberalism for twisting the truth and projecting their own views onto the opposition.

-------

I'm beginning to get a sneaking suspicion that good ole Mr. Bundy may have outfoxed them all.

He knows he's a target, and he knows he can't make them stop making him a target.....

but what he CAN do is make himself a large, very vocal and very noticeable target, so anyone who aims at him winds up being noticed, too!

“I find it appalling that we basically have a history of the leftist liberalism that wants to extinguish black people by abortion [and] destroying the family structure,” Keyes told WND. “All of these things if you just look at the effects, you would say this was planned by some racist madman to destroy the black community.”

Then when somebody comes along to comment on that damage, the leftists all scream “racism,” he said.

“I think it’s time somebody started to recognize the racism that exists in its effects – the hard leftist ideology using the black community for their sacrificial lamb, for their sick ideology. It’s time we called them what they are,” he said.

Yes I remember LBJ. It was reported that he continued to use the N-word even though he did have to admit that he was president of all the people -- now that they had "the political pull to back up their uppityness."

Tell me about the Jews?..Well they also have a right to graze their animals on public waste land. That all I need to know...

I seem to recall a lot of shepherds in the Bible...where did all those flocks graze?

In fact I recall Jesus refer to himself as a shepherd and us as the flock..

So if Rome came to drive the ALL the shepherds and ALL the flocks off ALL the public land saying it was ALL Roman land..

What would Jesus do?... (even for some shepherds that would later turned him on him and crucify him)

What Negros don’t know about Negros is why after all these years they still have to claim poverty as the reason they have such violence and apathy in their own communities.

As we speak, instead of whining about income redistribution they should be expecting their masters, the democrat party to be providing them with a REAL education and REAL jobs.

They have been held back in lousy government indoctrination centers that focus on grievance and anger rather than being elevated and urged to be the best they can be.

The black people have invested their trust in people who use and abuse them. The democrat party owns them just like the slavemasters did. They are still in chains because they have not risen up against their oppressors, the Democrat Party. The Party that worships a person like Margaret Sanger who believed black people needed to be aborted because they are inferior.

In order for progressives to succeed they have to convince people that they have no hope unless they allow their betters, the progressives, to manage their lives according to what they dole out to them. All of these years and black people are no better off than they were after getting forced off the boat. They may not be slaves in chains, but they are chained into the democrat party and left without much progress financially or with self respect. Their is nothing that promotes self respect like earning a living and raising your own family to do well.

What is the shame is that many progressive black people have no problem continuing the scam. After all, Marxist ideology trumps all. Just like with the Jewish people.
