Rather confusing.

So what happened here, unidentified people armed with m-16s attacked an outpost defended by militia, all but of the militiamen were killed, yet the attack was repelled and one attacker was captured?

LOL!
Last week some people here tried to convince rest of us that there are Russian troops in Ukraine because masked gunmen were using “Brand of AK that only Russia uses”
Now I am expecting same people to say that “US have its troops in Ukraine”

Let me tell you a story:

1969 - Sino-Soviet clash

Radio Moscow:
This morning three Chinese tanks opened fire across border on peaceful Soviet farmers. Farmers returned fire and destroyed one tank.

Radio Beijing:
This morning three Soviet tanks opened fire across border on peaceful Chinese farmers. Farmers returned fire and destroyed one tank.

Were the M-16s “English speaking,” and did the Russian media report it that way?

Right. Every raghead over the age of 10 in the ME has an AK-47. But they are so hard to get in a former Soviet republic that everyone has to resort to mail-ordering M-16s.

This is a Russian controlled propaganda outlet. They also found “American dollars” and “American guns” along with a business card in one of the last “reports.” Russian propaganda “news” sources even less trustworthy than the tabloids.

ITAR-TASS is government owned.

Think NPR without the gay agenda.

True. However it's true of American news sources and American tabloids as well.

For the sake of argument, let me ask you this.

What if it were true ?

What if our government has some 'black ops' guys over there?

When do we NOT have some kind of spies, or assassins, or 'advisers', or peacekeepers in another country ?

This sort of useless speculation insults the blood of the Ukrainians. The facts are that Yanukovych was having his own people kidnapped and tortured, even before the shootings which led to the escalation of violence. That's not speculation. It is reality.
