After Bundy's overtly racist remarks, let's see how far politicians run away from him.
The New York Times has overheard Cliven Bundy—the Nevada rancher who, instead of paying decades of overdue grazing fees, met the Bureau of Land management with guns and a small militia—saying this:
"I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro," he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, "and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn't have nothing to do. They didn't have nothing for their kids to do. They didn't have nothing for their young girls to do.
"And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?" he asked. "They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I've often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn't get no more freedom. They got less freedom."
Expect every politician to back away from the issue.
"His remarks on race are offensive and I wholeheartedly disagree with him," Sen. Rand Paul said in a statement Thursday morning.

New York Times “overhears” this at a Saturday Press Conference with no recordings. Conservatives are supposed to have common sense...

I’ve said the same thing many times. The key is to use tact and be careful of the phrasing and the words used. Too bad real issues can’t get discussed because of all the “feelings” that get hurt in the process.
The fact is that LBJ basically said the if they handed out enough money to blacks then they would be Democratic voters forever.
Zero didn’t mention those quotes while visiting the LBJ library.

Exactly! The NYT reporter was in the car with him, driving past the projects in North Vegas, asking his opinion about everything? And happened to overhear him? They will lie as it serves their purpose, recant IF they have to.
Lies/ slander - are like tearing open a down pillow. You can never pick up all the pieces. The Marxists will use it when it serves their purpose - POTUS is a good example.
If this coming from the Slimes, I want to hear the tape of Bundy making those statements. Then I want forensic experts to validate that the tape is indeed Bundy and is not just a mashup of sound bites using Bundy’s voice.
And even then, I wouldn’t believe it.
The Slimes is a left-wing propaganda organ. Truth takes a back seat to discrediting its enemies. This is most likely as true as Dan Rather’s Guard story.
If you look at what he said in his simple cowboy way...is he wrong? The way he talks is not necessarily racist but just simple minded. Compare this to Jamie Fox, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson.
The New York Times no less! The Feds are shooting his cattle, and Mr. Bundy is talking about Negroes picking cotton.
Riiiiiiiiiiiight.
Well the left will have a field day with this. But in reality its a tempest in a teapot. Mr. Bundy is not running for office so he’s free to say whatever he wants. Frankly I agree with his sentiments. The Democrat plantation is just another form of servitude.

If only we could. Maybe we could finally implement a real solution and get everyone back on a track to prosperity rather than dependence.

The key here is overheard. This tells me that the NYT reported fabricated the whole unverifiable thing.
Nobody else heard anything, only the reported with a deadline and an imagination.
I’m sorry, but what about what he said is so wrong? How is this different than what Bill Cosby said about the same group of people? Bundy is white, and the government is stealing his land?
Bundy is telling the truth. This is the same truth, by the way, most Tribal chairmen will tell you about the folks on Indian reservations. Direct quote, first hand, made to me by a guy I like too much to subject to the inhuman sh!tstorm that will befall him if I rat him out:
“The worst mistake we ever made as a people was excepting government help from the white man. It ruined us.”
Jesse Jackson HIMSELF has said the same thing in a different way.
And from this, because the guy had the temerity to call out the government for ALL of its destructive overreaching, he’s going to be labeled a racist. As a racist, you have less rights than a felon.
Any legitimate claim you may have had is out the window, because you were making an observation that has far more than a grain of truth.
And this is typical of Rand Paul - run. Just like dad, actually. Let the world do its worst, and on our little Island will be OK. The difference between Rand and Barry on foreign affairs is literally nothing.
Anybody that runs from Bundy for this is going to be pretty easy to handle the night their door gets broken down and their families are being hauled off.
Happened to a 79 year old grandmother last night, and to someone else the yesterday.
You can disagree with Bundy’s observation (it’s not his opinion, it’s a fact), but it doesn’t change a dot or tittle of the fact that the feds tried to take his land in a way not unlike the Brits did the Irish in the days of Oliver Cromwell in the 1650’s.
Come in, take the cows, take the land, evict the family. Resisting? Fine, to jail with you.
Then Reid was going to hand it to the Chinese, in a project run by his son in law. Sounds pretty European ruling class to me.
Bundy’s point - the USG is a big fan of enslaving its citizens. You can’t have a tax revolt in the US anymore because you’ve already paid them. April 15 is about getting back the money you loaned them for a year.
You don’t own your home. You don’t own your business, and if you think you did, your sovereign will disagree, and I quote, “You didn’t build that.”
Anyone who runs from Bundy on this basis: may your chains rest lightly upon you.
They play it masterfully.
