Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu initiated a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday to discuss bilateral issues, Iran and Ukraine, the Kremlin said in a statement.
The conversation came amid escalating tensions in eastern Ukraine, and as Netanyahu was trying to maneuver carefully through the Ukraine crisis, not antagonizing or alienating neither Washington or Moscow.
According to the Kremlin statement, Putin provided an assessment of the processes occurring in Ukraine, and pointed out that the sharp escalation of the crisis is the result of Kievs irresponsible policy, which disregards the lawful rights and interests of the countrys Russian-speaking citizens. He stressed the inadmissibility of the current regimes use of armed forces to suppress public protests in southeastern Ukraine.
The statement said that the leaders agreed to continue regular exchanges of opinion on issues of mutual interest.

I wonder if barry was on the line too, with both of them ignoring him.
Bibi’s nobody’s fool, and he despises Obama.
Because of NSA, Clown Prince nobama is on EVERY line.
When Putin is able to convince Netanyahu that an Islamist regime in Syria serves neither Israel or Russia’s security interests, peace will come to Syria. Russia has a horrendous problem with jihadists in southern Russia. If the Islamists come to power in nearby Syria, then Syria would become a base and haven for the jihadists. Israel with a huge Russian population has a natural cultural affinity with Russia and will prosper with them if Russia does not revive its pathological Antisemitism.
I’m taking a neutral stand as well. It appears that the Russians are willing to die to recapture the Ukraine, but the Ukrainians are not willing to put their lives on the line to stop them. They should have prepared for this day since 1954 but they didn’t.
If the Ukrainians are not willing to die for their country, I certainly am not about to ask Americans to go there and die for them.
When the American citizens are finally and fully disarmed, then Mexico will likely move to retake the southwest. Will there be any Americans willing to die to stop them? By then America will be just as tyrannical and corrupt as the Mexican Government.
That is unless enough Americans are willing to take a stand for liberty and corral the Federal Leviathan and restore the Constitution.

This is great! Netanyahu is wise to ally with Putin in this matter , much wiser than being perceived as another of of Obama’s poodles . Israel may find a better ally in Russia than the U.S. has become under Obama . Screw Obama and the horse he rode in on .
And let’s face it, Ukrainians haven’t exactly been the Jews’ best friends over the years.
I doubt he can ride one.
Two adult heads of state having a sane conversation & dialogue on a number of topics! I wonder if towards the end of their conversation, they had a good ole' laugh about bumbling, inept 0dumb0sh_t. Was 0dumb0 golfing today?
Netanyahu should stop coming to Washington , for the remainder of this regime’s administration. Go to the U.N. ok , but shun da papolo .
Obama is out of the loop of influence. More countries are behaving as though the united states was no more important than any other former world power, like Portugal. Not even Obama, who wants to reduce our ‘world footprint’
expected to be so quickly given the Mushroom Treatment; Left in the dark, a fed a lot of B.S.
Obama may have been told to wait by the Red Phone, for a three-way, international call. They ‘forgot’ he was to be part of the discussion. As of 1900 hours today, Obama is STILL WAITING for the phone to ring, like a jilted, lovesick Teenager.

Discussing mutual interests and staying neutral on an issue which doesn't directly affect Israel and over which they have no leverage makes sense. We could learn something here. The US obviously has both leverage, economic and military force and influence in many parts of the world. But if we're not going to use it, rather than dictating our terms to other nations, perhaps we should just remain on the sidelines. Not lead from behind, keep our opinions to ourselves.
