Rest In Peace.

I looked up his image, that’s who I thought it was.

Steroids shortened his life?

I wouldn’t doubt it. Many wrestlers get on the ‘juice’ to bulk up. Too damned many have died young...heart problems, “roid rage”, etc.

It’s not just the steroids. It’s the lifestyle in general, having to stay in hotel rooms all the time and having to be on the road for 300 days a year, and having to eat on the road all the time.

And wrestling is also tough on the body.

Wrestlers seem to have a lifespan of about 50 years old..Eddie Guerrero, Randy Savage, they just seem to die young, mostly from heart attacks

I bet these wrasslers have a tough time buying life insurance.

So dies another part of childhood. Sad to see so many of the wrestlers I rooted for or against (Warrior, Randy Savage, Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect, Roadwarrior Hawk, etc.) are dead.

RIP Ultimate Warrior. I’m going to gorilla press slam a liberal in your honor.

I remember this wrestling family from the 1970's in Texas:

The Von Erich family is a professional wrestling family. Their actual birth names are "Adkisson", but every member of the family who went into the wrestling business used the ring name "Von Erich", after the family patriarch, Jack (Fritz Von Erich) Adkisson. Although the family patriarch Fritz lived to the age of 68, five of his six sons preceded him in death (three by suicide). The firstborn son, Jack Jr., died at the age of six. In 1984, David Von Erich died in Japan from acute enteritis of the upper intestine. Michael, Chris, and Kerry all committed suicide in 1987, 1991, and 1993 respectively. Mike died after taking an overdose of Placidyl. Chris shot himself in the head with a 9mm handgun at his parents' home in East Texas. Kerry shot himself in the chest behind his father's house on Shady Shores Road. Kevin Von Erich is the sole surviving child of Fritz (Jack Adkisson) and Doris Adkisson.

Unreal. Three days after his Hall of Fame induction and one day after appearing on Monday Night RAW.

There seems to be a high incident of heart failure among marathon runners as well. There is such a thing as overwork.

I remember reading about that. One son who committed suicide left a note saying; “don't worry, I'm in a better place now." Is this the same family member?

Baron Von Raschke keeps going. Always makes me wonder about the exceptions, more like those who were before Steroids and whatever else came.

I just saw an announcement yesterday for a con with a curr3nt pic of him stating he’d be in attendance and remember thinking to myself how old he looked for his age.

I guess his career took its toll.

RIP

Ron and Don Wright, Whitey Caldwell etc but they likely died of old age.
