I am not sure who wrote their playbook but they really stick to it.
They propose the most draconian controls one could think of and always add “common sense” to it’s description.

What happens to “conceal carry” when you are displaying a bracelet?
Isn’t this another case of socialists imagining a technology into being? Like competitive Wind & Solar power? Electric cars that have a range longer than 1 hour? Cars that magically will get 70 MPG because the feds say so?
Putting electronics into a firearm is bound to make that firearm less reliable, and drive up the value of pre-electronic firearms.

Let me guess. Holder wants to use these Gun Tracking Bracelets to reduce crime in cities like Chicago and prevent young black teens from killing each other en masse.
Whoo Wee. I crack myself up! I really do. (Picking myself up off the floor after rofl)
Truth is; Holder will require these for us dangerous Tea Party Creepy Ass Crackers.

Others have suggested manufacturing GPS tracking and RFID chips into every gun. RFID chips transmit location data and are used by law enforcement agencies to send automatic alerts if a weapon moves away from the tracker, indicating that the gun is lost or stolen.
And so the ATF can send out a signal to disable the weapon, while its raid troops swoop down on the guy and murder him for "resisting arrest". Yeah, yeah, we get it, Barky .... Valerie .... Eric .... and the rest of you Commie scum.
