Most congregations don't pray 5 times per day, every day. The whole prison routine and regimen becomes dominated by accommodating Moslem prayer activity...which is of course exactly what they want...

Plus, by allowing them all together five times per day, you create real security concerns.
They should, however, accomodate Muslim culture by requiring that all food be provided by friends and family. That's what they do in Saudi Arabia.
No friends and family? Maybe your fellow inmates will take pity on you and share their food. Maybe. One thing's for sure-- the more time occupied by tasks required to keep the jailbirds alive, the less time they have for violence.

You lose rights when you commit crime.
If they don’t like it, shoot ‘em.

a great recruitment tool - other inmates wishing treatment as prison favorites, able to meet in groups to bitch, moan, and plan jihad will surely join. And upon release, what then????

From the article: “Muslims continue to be denied access to Jumuah services, a weekly congregational prayer which takes place every Friday.”

ALCU: Religious freedom for Muslims and Wiccans and pagans, but not Christians [and Jews]. WTF? I smell the INTOLERANT tyrants of the ACLU at work; rights for their “approved victims” list and none for others.

I was surprised to see this was California.
Immediately assumed they were after Arpaio.

Letter direct to shredder.
Do not dignify with a response.
Who do you think alerted the media regarding the existence of the letter?

Same place as they were when the new Indianapolis airport included Muslim foot washing stations in the new crappers.

Other inmates are allowed to attend congregational prayer. Refusing to allow Muslims to pray in a group, while allowing other inmates to engage in group prayer, is offensive and discriminatory.Muslims continue to be denied access to Jumuah services, a weekly congregational prayer which takes place every Friday.
I was against this till I read the above. Without a reason to do differently, all the inmates should be treated pretty much the same.

If not...stfu.

muslim religious expression also includes the murder of Christians and Jews.....and before that is denied, remember that a “moderate” muslim is one that does not know his own “religion”.

all the inmates should be treated pretty much the same. Agreed. All organized prayer should then be banned.

Here’s hoping the Sheriff told the ACLU where to go.

It looks like what the muzzies are wanting or at least what the ACLU is asking for on behalf of the mooselimbs is once weekly
That is probably correct. They should be allowed the same as any other religion
After all as we all know Islam is a religion of peace (sarc)
What we should NOT do is build them foot baths

Seems like prisoners have more religious freedom than our military.
