Kentucky GOP Sen. Rand Paul told fellow Republicans on Tuesday that the future of their party depends on them connecting with Hispanics in a more empathetic way and on getting in front of immigration reform a message that further signals his flirtation with a 2016 presidential run.
If we are to change peoples attitudes toward the Republican Party, we have to show up and we have to have something to say, Paul told a small group of conservatives gathered at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. I hope to be part of that dialogue.
This certainly was not the first time that Paul, since being elected to the Senate in 2010, has attempted to connect with Hispanics and other minorities.
However, Republicans interest in his policy vision and his vision for broadening the party base continues to grow as he ascends in the very, very early 2016 polls and travels the country. Recent stops have included those in Democrat-heavy Detroit and at the University of California, Berkeley.....

Reform = enforce existing law. Period.
We should get “beyond deportation”, but execution seems a bit harsh to me. How about 5 years of hard labor followed by deportation?
FURP!! Pandering RINO!!
Absolutely—and no blank amnesty!
How many buses, shuttle and other large vans and cattle cars can we get our hands on?
There are RINOs, and then there are HellNos.
The Paultards keep pushing this turd who can’t even get as many votes as McCain got.
Rand Paul is going to appeal to Hispanics by stealing jobs from middle class whites and giving them to Asian and European tech workers.
“He called the expansion of visas for high-tech workers a no-brainer.”
Does Rand Paul want to deport for these crimes?
False Personation of a U.S. Citizen (18 U.S.C. § 911).
Fraud and False Statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001).
Social Security Fraud (42 U.S.C. § 408).
High Speed Flight from Immigration Checkpoint (18 U.S.C. § 758).
Driving without a License.
Aggravated Identity Theft (18 U.S.C. § 1028A).
And according to him, Pearl Harbor was our fault. He’s a real braniac, isn’t he?
First, stop using the word ‘hispanic’. It’s a totally made up word.
Even ‘latino’ is insulting.
Second, the majority of legal immigrants to this country (and those that became citizens) also want to STOP illegal immigration and deport them.
They are part of “the Hispanic community” Paul. Going to ignore them?
On the other threads on this, FR’s pro-gay marriage libertarians, are already coming out as pro-immigration, for Paul.
Paul’s libertarianism is coming out, and the libbers are hearing his Pied Piper’s tune.
Most all Americans and FR’s are “pro-immigration”. Some of the protectionist aren’t.
It’s ILLEGAL we are talking about. I wish politicians would step up to this reality.
Any links? I’d like to see that.
Rand Paul says to appeal to Hispanics, Republicans must become democrats and is leading by example!
The Republican Party is supposed to have a set of principles that guides it. If those principles are right and if the people elected as republicans follow those principles, you will attract people to the party. If you do as Paul suggests and moderate your principles to attract people in then you are no longer the Republican party. Stand up and Stand on our Principles.
Liberaltarians ....
For crying out loud.
Shut up!

Care to see the same version of the libertarian posting, except on the topic of abortion and gay marriage?
One of the creepiest techniques of some of the libertarians here, is to fight conservative political opposition to abortion and gay marriage and soon, immigration, in the name of GOD and Christianity.
Evidently they see it as a new vocabulary and approach, to defeat the Christians on social conservatism.
You will see “God” pop-up over there.
