Its none of our business.

Its Russia’s backyard, we have no vital interest there and we shouldn’t meddle in its affairs.

Obama always wins polls, it is why he is a two term president.

True. And Venezuela is in our backyard. If we’re going to start interfering, let’s start there.

And the EU stands around looking worried while they wait for us to come rescue them and they’ll still end up buying the Russian gas no matter what.

It is our business since we were signatories to the Budapest Memorandum. Is it worth going to war over? No! However, we need to at least provide the Ukrainians with the small arms they requested.

Otherwise we played a major part in duping them into surrendering their nuclear weapons. As for vital interest, that should be obvious. While many cheered the end of the Cold War, the Russians never gave up on their efforts. They have been on the other side of numerous confrontations. Syria and Iran are examples.

We’re taking the wrong road if we don’t provide the wherewithal for Ukraine to defend itself. History will not be kind to us nor our progeny.

Taking military action against Russia is a ridiculous idea.
Its not even worth calling an idea.

Not a chance of happening.

Bill Clinton was a signatory, I don't recall the Senate ever ratifying it.

It’s not a treaty. It’s a political agreement.

Well if American soldiers butts are going to be on the line because of it, it better be ratified by the Senate.

We’re not required to honor the agreement. It’s justification for anything we chose to do. Providing enough small arms for Ukraine to arm the men it’s in the process of calling up doesn’t mean our boots on the ground. Is That a problem?

We need to throw a monkey wrench into Russia’s plans.

you are wrong, we do have interests there, we just are in no position to defend since the effing administration has run up our debt and decimated our armed forces

How would you feel if Russia armed Separatists in Mexico bent on returning California to Mexico?

We don’t need to be getting into another conflict, especially with Russia for heaven’s sake.

Why would we do that? What good could possibly come from providing small arms to one side in a lopsided conflict? It will just get more people killed and YOU CAN COUNT ON IT we will be blamed for more people dying.

No thanks.

Russia may very well be in the wrong, but this is Europe’s problem, not ours. Haven’t we bailed those guys out enough the last 100 years or so?
