Mark Levin: GOP Establishment 'Dumped All Over' Jolly
Newsmax ^ | 13 Mar 2014 | Greg Richter

Republican Party leadership is celebrating this week's special election win by Florida Republican David Jolly, which kept the House seat in GOP hands and helped make a point that Obamacare is a key election issue in the fall.

But radio talk show host Mark Levin says party leadership is hypocritical. Prior to his unexpected win, party leaders were not so complimentary of Jolly in a story published by Politico last Friday, four days before polls opened.

The Politico story talked about how GOP officials tried to get three other candidates to run for the seat left open by the death of Rep. Bill Young.

"They expected him to lose, and so they had their whole positioning ready to go that this was just another Todd Akin, a conservative kook," Levin said, referring to the Republican Senate candidate who lost a race in Missouri in 2012.

"This guy never ran for public office before. They didn't want him. They did everything they could to stop him in the primary. Then they trashed the hell out of him when their polls showed him to be a few points behind," Levin said.

"The point is this: If we don't get new Republican leadership in Washington, clean out these consultants, clean out these Republican institutions, and put in some fresh people, new people, solid people who are really concerned about the country, really concerned about winning, this is the sort of sleazy crap that's going to go on."

"It was assumed that everybody got behind this guy, the Republican establishment got behind this guy," Levin said. "I hope Mr. Jolly understands who his friends are and who his friends weren't."

Levin is right about this:

"The point is this: If we don't get new Republican leadership in Washington, clean out these consultants, clean out these Republican institutions, and put in some fresh people, new people, solid people who are really concerned about the country, really concerned about winning, this is the sort of sleazy crap that's going to go on."

I didn’t read the Politico article but I would suggest that caution is in order.

Consider the source. Politico is a member in quite good standing of the Elect Dems At All Cost MSM. I’m betting that the Dems polling showed them either losing or too close to call and the Politico story was their last chance to pull it out.

It didn’t work.

And it is a fact that Jolly was hardly the ideal candidate. He may make a great Congressman but on paper he probably didn’t look like the best choice. This could be a routine discussion blown way out of proportion by Politico.

That a candidate who is apparently an actual conservative can win an election despite a lack of support, or even with outright hostility, from the republicrat establishment is good news.

It is reprehensible that these same republicrats would now back-slap and glad-hand him as if they supported him all along; and like Mr. Levin, I hope he is wise enough to remember who his real friends are.

Of course a conservative can win. Ted Cruz won against Dewhurst, bush darling lt governor

The GOPe uses the media, lobby money, and depends on low info just like the dems. And they support Obama

People like coulter, Bennett and he like are not with it. There are plenty of conservative voters who don’t depend on the media and recognize RINO and CINO They don’t complain about the media nor even dems they don’t even complain about rinos. They accept the facts and are moving on and ahead

And they see what Obama and Obama care are doing

...and I hope they turn out in droves for every election. However, if the republicrat establishment insists on running RINOs in too many races, then I doubt the senate will be removed from democrat control this November.

We are even seeing the potential of a RINOcrat majority forming in the House over key issues like immigration.

Either way, GOPe is over. If they give the senate to the dems this fall, and its theirs to give, they’re done, and if they, against their will, win it, they’re done. Graham, McCain, McConnell, Cornyn... they’re done. They’re old, they’re tired. They don’t want to do their job, they’ve been exposed for being duplicitous, they’ve ushered Obama around, and through

They’re done. Like sick Morris, Ann coulter, Romney. And if they give away the senate, the dems will make things worse- they’re overwhelmed with this mess they’ve created

Conservatives will eventually gain. The GOPe will be the last to realize that

Will Mr. Jolly have primary opposition in the September (or is it October?) primary?

Boehner sure did make a huge mistake trying to undermine Jolly.

That’s one vote he might not get for majority leader.

Since I live in this outpost of senile and juvenile idiocy for a good part of the year, I took part in this election by voting for Jolly.

However, in all honesty I must point out that I actually know nothing much about him! I knew all about Alix Sink, who is a super-politically correct carpetbagger unisex Obamaslut from the same litter as Elizabeth Warren, who was outspending Jolly by a wide margin. As far as turnout goes, the workers at my poll said it was "very heavy," however, overall turnout, including mail-ins, looked rather low, which leads me to believe that many Demos may have stayed on the couch for this one.

One might be tempted to conclude that The 'Conservative' Republican bases showed up; many of the minorities of the Demo base did not. Then, there are the 5% Libertarians. In the real election in November, with real fraud, and real "minority outreach" (which combines fraud and racism) and a couple of million more in Demo "Street Money," the Soros-Supported Libertarian candidate could upset the GOP's rosy dreams for this seat.

BTW, to judge from ad patterns, Levin is on the money in his complaints about e-GOP hypocrisy. It is painfully obvious they largely left this boy twisting in the wind and he won this on his own hook. Now, this Jolly had better hit DC running ... and I don't mean to kiss Boehner's ring. Let's hear from you, Jolly-boy.

Not so funny that Soros-Fronts support the Libertarians and not the Green Nut Permaculture Scientologist Fringes that would subtract from Democrat support in this district of mass imbecility.
