My favorite line was when Elsie scolded her sister for wanting to marry the prince she just met only after knowing him for only a few hours.

I was a slap right in the face of today’s “Instant Gratification” mentality we see in so many other movies.

She was very protective of her sister to the point of suffering herself for her sister’s safety and well-being.

Or, you could see it as a sly poke at the older Disney movies where this very thing happens (Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, etc...). In all of those the courtship is minutes/hours/days.
