Councilman John Duran and his gay colleagues on the West Hollywood City Council never expected a backlash when they voted recently to remove the rainbow flag from above City Hall. For Duran, who is gay, taking down the flag wasn't about slighting gays but sending a message about the city's diversity.
"It's not just a city of gay men. It belongs to heterosexual people as well," he said.

I just spent the last few days in WeHo (visiting my hetero daughter). I was at the animal hospital, hardware store, Jewish deli—all seemed pretty normal. The most notable thing was all the girls on Sunset in their clubbing clothes.

Honestly, I can’t even grasp the need to place a flag at city hall that represents the idea anal sex is the preferred way to experience the pinnacle of loving shared experience for all local citizens.
What the hell is wrong with the minds of homosexuals? It’s like their minds got frozen at 14, when they were very twisted and deviated from the norm.
Does anyone see heterosexuals driven to place a flag over their local city hall, expressing how they share intimate feelings with their significant other?
Can’t homosexuals grasp this difference? Can’t they see the depravity of it?
Their whole life appears to revolve around a same-sex sex act that most of the world abhors. The rest of the world has abhorred it since recorded civilization emerged.

To be fair, the club-goers come from all over the city. Probably the neighborhood gays don’t hang at The Laugh Factory and House of Blues. The other notable thing was all the expensive cars.
At least these homos had the decency to do the right thing.
In truth, though, basically flying a flag that is not an official state entity is tantamount to treason or at least disrespect for that entity.

The local town hall here In San Anselmo CA...flew the....U.N. Flag...above Old Glory for several months at one point.

One thing I didn’t see in WeHo was a lot of children. Plenty of little dogs though.

What is happening is that there are fewer and fewer “monolithic” towns where one group dominates in high-income areas. I expect West Hollywood to have a very divergent demographic within the next 15 years.
