The resolution allows Russia to intervene anywhere in Ukraine where there are threats to Russia’s interests and the lives of its citizens.
And the Russian tricolor is starting to make an appearance in parts of Ukraine’s Russian speaking east, not just the Crimea.
So Moscow can now expand its operation if fraternal appeals for assistance begin emerging elswhere in Ukraine.
Think of the US and let’s say Panama. If our military and citizens were threatened by a revolution (or maybe a drug dealing dictator), what do you think the US would do?
