ARIZONA GOVERNOR VETOES RELIGIOUS FREEDOM BILL

Gov. Jan Brewer on Wednesday vetoed a Republican bill that set off a national debate over gay rights, religion and discrimination and subjected Arizona to blistering criticism from major corporations and political leaders from both parties.

Brewer's decision defused a national furor over gay rights and religious freedom.

The bill backed by Republicans in the Legislature was designed to give added protection from lawsuits to people who assert their religious beliefs in refusing service to gays. But opponents called it an open attack on gays that invited discrimination.

The bill thrust Arizona into the national spotlight last week after both chambers of the state legislature approved it. As the days passed, more and more groups, politicians and average citizens weighed in against Senate Bill 1062. Many took to social media to criticize the bill, calling it an attack on gay and lesbian rights.

“Leviticus tells us what to do in the face of abomination.”

I am as sick as anyone hearing about homosexuality 24/7, but Leviticus is not measurement of anything but the primitive tribal mentality of 5000 years ago. It also instructs unruly children to be killed among other atrocious things, so selective reading and application is hypocritical. If you fully apply Leviticus, you will have a nice cozy Talibanland that would make Mullah Omar proud.

When 3 percent of the population has more power than the 97 percent of us, that is when you know America has gone to hell in a hand basket

Yeah, I began my drift from the NFL when the commissioner said Rush Limbaugh wasn’t welcome....this came after the Miami Dolphins welcomed a girl who peed her pants on stage as a “minority owner” of the team.

I really, truly, have watched maybe one or two games total in the past three years.

Done.

The tragedy here is only about to be realized. As is their wont, homosexuals will now construe this veto to mean that they now CAN force Christian businesses to bend to their whim, and will now launch a flurry of lawsuits to make it happen.

The Gov thought that she was avoiding legal ramifications by vetoing the bill. How wrong she was.

All you little people must make cakes for homosexuals, or else you will be shipped to the concentration camp... where you will make cakes for homosexuals.

At a point in time, probably within the next three years, the state will begin killing Christians. This was predicted by the Lord 2000 years ago. So it is not a surprise or problem...

...Then again, those killing Christians might have a problem in the U.S.

Just sayin'.

Good thing we already have freedom of religion in the Constitution.

Well, unless it conflicts with taxes (fines), or the War on Drugs, or allowing people to stand on their religious beliefs in a politically incorrect manner.

Roger Goodell is overseeing the destruction of the NFL as surely as Baraq Hussein 0bama is tending to the destruction of America. The difference is that Goodell is just a clueless doofus, while 0bama deals in pure evil.
