The arrogance of the Chinese is becoming increasingly apparent.
Nobody is going to want to invest in China anymore.
Given the history and mindset of Japan, a war with the Japanese may be sharp, but isn’t going to be short.
Whole different Japan. What was one the nation of the Kamikaze and Katana is now the nation of Pokemon battles and ‘canned vaginas’.
They’d be relying on support from the US forces, and at this point, Obama is more likely to invade Uganda or hold a miliatry parade in honor of Moochelle’s ugly dresses than he is to defend Japan.

” Whole different Japan. “
The “ Kamikaze “ spirit still rests in the heart / soul of most Japanese ...If push comes to shove the Japanese can and will kick some ass .

Bingo. Another problem is that interests of US businesses and politicians are closer to China’s than Japan’s right now.
On the other hand I don’t see a war between China and Japan in recent future.
China is growing expansionist right now, but it has to start with Central Asia, Africa and Taiwan - and it will get it mostly by economic means, especially the latter.
If China is about to get in a hot war it will start with Philippines and Vietnam, but it is still a distant possibility, give them at least 10 more years.
Next there will be India, probably via proxy (Pakistan).
Japan’s and Russia’s turn won’t come until mid-century.
Not to mention most of these nations are clearly recognizes the threat and has their own means to sucker punch China before it is too powerful.
This CIC will do nothing. His sights are set on figuring a way to wage war in Syria. Recall how badly both he and McCain wanted it.
You think the Japanese still have their Samurai spirit even after Hiroshima and Nagasaki? It would, be, well interesting to see. I know more than a few Chinese hold grudges as deep as it gets against Japan for that the IPA did Nanking and elsewhere. This would get horrifically ugly insanely fast.
The Japanese are NOT stupid.. and have no doubt given this much thought..
And calculated what to do with much nuke material...
The three gorges dam would fall at first shot..
Who knows what the Japanese finest stealth cruise missles look like..
They dont give away secrets like the Clintoons and Obama..
I think....... Japanese secrets are indeed secrets..
Beware attacking the Rising Sun.. I would suppose..
Not a good idea for the red dragon to poke godzilla with a stick...

Its very likely that Japan has nuclear weapons, although they are “untested” outside of computer modeling. There have been rumors for years.
I doubt that China or the NORKies would want a sizeable portion of their coasts glowing in the dark.
What the Japanese did is much less than what the Chinese did to themselves in the Cultural Revokution. Not that this will matter to the Chinese.
Japan was bad enough
Japan will win with or without the U.S. I am guessing they have the parts and pieces of a huge Navy, that can be assembled in the matter of a few months. The same for nuclear weapons.
I suggest that Japan will test a nuke very soon if things do not cool off very quickly. They need to remove all doubt in the PRC’s game plan as to what Japan’s strategic capability entails. Being coy like the Israeli’s won’t work in this situation.
Some defense analysts believe they could respond nuclear in a matter of weeks - they may lose those islands, but not for long.
Japan not only likely has nuclear weapons, they’re probably like all things Japanese, very precisely made and they’ll work. They’re the Lexus of nukes.
Awesome article - thanks for the link.
