That is a weekend in Chicago.
There aren’t many—which is why the per capita works out so badly on only 27 homicides. A black population of 80,000 accounts for nearly half of the homicides in a state of about 1.5 million people.
I know of a black man from Omaha--Malcolm Little.
Remember, Omaha is the source of the odd and repulsive video that was all the headlines a couple weeks ago, with the toddler being taught gang lingo, etc. There is a breeding ground.

This is a classic instance of how very low actual numbers can make percentages look misleading. I remember back when the left used to say that hetrosexual transmission of aids was the “fastest growing” number of those with aids. It was done in an attempt to take away the gay stigma of aids. When you looked at the raw numbers it reavealed that the number of aids patients who got the disease supposedly from hetrosexual sex these cases has risen from .25% of the total aids cases to .5%. So yes, the total number had doubled (fastest growing) the the actual numbers were a miniscule number of cases compared to homosexual transmission of aids.
I didn’t even know Josh Sugartit was still around.
Since Little Payton Benson was killed four (4) years AFTER the statistics used in the story, I can only wonder what he writer is trying to say.
According to this link, young black males who make up less than 2 percent of the Nebraska population committed up to 80 percent of murders in the state in 2012. 40 out of the 51 murders in 2012 came from North Omaha which is 80 percent black.

Every year, the newspaper prints a graphic of all the murders in the City for the last year and where they happened. I have noticed that a pretty consistent 80% or so of the murders happen in a 6 square mile area (about two miles E-W and three miles N-S). Considering there are about 200 square miles within the City limits, that is a pretty small part.
Jackson and Sharpton will be coming to Omaha, demanding justice, Holder will begin an investigation, Obama will take more Nebraska land.
I think they got this wrong. Only two black people lived in the state of Minnebraska. One shot the other to death, so they have a 50% black homicide rate.
I thought it would have been a Southern state since we are so awful.
Is it just me or does the Violence Policy Center seem to be saying they don’t think black people should be allowed to purchase guns? Talk about racist!
