President Obama’s latest claims about marijuana are contradicted by research and official positions of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, which is part of the White House. And Mr. Obama’s words have anti-drug leaders worried about negative repercussions among youth. Mr. Obama claimed to The New Yorker magazine that marijuana is no worse than cigarettes or alcohol and he promoted state efforts by Colorado and Washington to legalize marijuana, which remains illegal under federal law. The National Drug Control Policy’s official stance, posted on the whitehouse.gov website, says the opposite of Mr. Obama on all counts. For example, as documented in agency

The nation is going to pot, the ‘blunt’ truth.
When I coached HS baseball, pot was not really a problem with the kids, and I suspect, would have shown-up in relatively listless behavior changes, etc. I used to tell those kids that their brains were undergoing their greatest changes since birth, and that smoking pot could really derail ambition and drive at their age. I’d joke with them that if they had to smoke it, to wait until they were retired.
The Drug Czar really doesn’t have much choice. He’s legally obligated to support whatever the current policy is. In a self-governing republic, we’ve got government bureaucrats who are being paid with public tax money to prevent the citizens from trying to change the law.
Mr. " I can play at this level" Obama once again opens his cake hole to prove that nothing but warm, bio effluent flows from it.
Obama’s boss George Soros is one of the biggest backers of marijuana legalization in the U.S. and supposedly has billions invested in marijuana.

Obama is a “dry stoner,” with the residual brain damage effects. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if he still uses, since the media hides the fact he still smokes cigarettes as well.
The same can be said about a chronic alcohol abuser. They wind up with "wet brains" after a while, and obviously if they're stumbling down drunk then they're not operating at 100% mental capacity at that point (and if they're prone to getting drunk a lot, then they're probably never operating at full capacity).

We can know this: pot IS profoundly psychoactive. Also, anything inhaled through the lungs such as pot/cigs/cocaine/etc. near-rivals IV administration for blood saturation and IS more addictive than eating/chewing the product au naturel (e.g. pot brownies, coca leaves).
Some people bond with marijuana and become functionally addicted. Are they physically addicted as with heroin? No, but so what? Come Hell or high water they WILL get their pot! And it ain’t cheap.
Really? Most jobs? Things must have really gone downhill in the U.S. since I left for Germany (where I have never heard any of my colleagues or acquaintances mention such testing).
Requiring invasive medical procedures (blood samples, hair samples, etc.) or humiliating ones (urine samples) as a precondition for employment is an ethically quite troubling issue. With the exception of airplane pilots and such, I (personally) would lean towards banning any such requirements. Then there is also the secondary issue of data security and confidentiality (what other values - besides my degree of sobriety - are being measured, stored, and/or distributed, and for how long?).
I suspect that I would fail a standard test for opiates in the blood, since I eat a whopping slice of Schmandkuchen mit Mohn every day. I guess the solution would be to illegalize those, too.

Dear leader may be one of the first to learn the cost of his youthful indiscretions but drugged up dope head zombies usually don’t notice the value of their hard earned money being eroded to nothing since they usually just watch it go up in smoke anyway and they won’t put up much of a fight as they are marched off to gulags or ovens. It’s just the way tyrants like their subjects.

Virtually every study has shown that chronic alcohol use is associated with many severe health effects, several of which can lead to death. Brain damage has been documented in alcoholics. Heavy alcohol use also raises the risk of dementia. Alcohol abuse is also often associated with violent and criminal behavior. Alcohol is a poisonous substance, and an overdose may be immediately fatal.
Virtually every study has shown that chronic tobacco use is associated with severe health effects, several of which can lead to death. It is also extremely physically addictive. It often severely impacts the quality of life of long-term users.
Marijuana, on the other hand, is non-toxic. It is not physically addictive. Its use is not generally associated with violent or antisocial behavior. Researchers have been surprised to find that smoking it, even in large amounts, does not increase the incidence of lung cancer.
I’m the last one to defend 0 in most circumstances - but even he is occasionally correct about something.
Until you have seen someone you love go thru one of these pot induced “psychotic episodes” you are welcome to hold your delusional opinion at your own peril but you are a fool worse than I to share it with others.
