My county requires an annual emissions test to get my tag renewed...
So we have thought that we might have better luck with a boat than a car.
Then pull into port, flip out a credit card and rent a car...
oops, sorry, your driver’s license is expired...
I actually can renew my driver’s license and insurance on-line,
but they would mail the new license and proof of insurance
to the listed “address” and I would not be there to retrieve them.
Since if I am registered in that county,
then what about that jury duty notice that I did not respond to?
And the follow-up summons for not showing up for jury duty?
Lots of stuff like that...
OK,
so that leaves me with using taxi cabs and public transportation.

There are many services that forward your mail to where you are and states that are friendly to “full timers” like S. Dakota. I live next to an RV resort with lots of folks who do this.
