Exactly. People who think Texas is a solid, crimson-red state are mistaken. Texas is going through the same demographic changes as the rest of the country. Austin has long been a liberal enclave but now Houston and San Antonio have turned blue as well. You've got a large Hispanic population and there's a lot of out-of-staters who've recently come to Texas for the jobs and brought their liberal voting habits with them.
I believe Texas is turning purple and Wendy Davis stands a very real chance of being elected Governor.
Even in Texas Dead Democrats vote early and often.
Gov. race you had counties, Dallas, Jefferson, Harris, Bexar, Travis, El paso area,
and the border counties. The rest were red, although smaller in population.
Perry won by some 12.5%. The gender factor will change the dynamics of this year
